I'm currently locked out of my bead account on insta which is causing major major panic as that's where I do most my business and have customers waiting on updates.

I really really dislike how hard social media has been for small artists. 😑

Working on stuff for Howards Flea Market :) I likely 2ont be reopening customs a bit longer so I can focus more on local markets during tax season!

Slowly but surely I have caught up on moon orders. Almost all have been sent and the two that haven't yet have been contacted. Now to trades and then I think I'm taking a break from commissions, and will do them on a case by case basis. I'm going to focus on creating collections for now!

My beads were supposed to come in today but have not. If they do not soon I will be swallowing the lost money and ordering another shipment of beads this time from someone in country. I have like 5 orders I'm literally at a stand still with until I get the beads I need.

❓am I allowed to wear indigenous made beaded jewelry? ❓

Answer:

Generally speaking, yes. As long as it isn't regalia (and you'll know if it is because the owner definitely won't be letting you touch it), go for it. Purchase from indigenous beaders is the general rule.

Beading in general is found all over the world, plenty of cultures have beaded works. Russian beaded jewelry is like. Fu***ng amazing. The detail is 🤌🤌🤌 but when it comes to Indigenous designs and what not, avoid *Native inspired boho* s**t. Those designs and aesthetic usually mimic native designs to begin with, and there's very likely something similar to whatever you want thats better quality *and* handmade.
