An update for the upcoming 4t opening for the 4vn fleet and licence holders that have conditions for the same.

As previously discussed, the areas NAFO 4T1, 4T8, 4T2b and the southern portion of 4T2a will be open between July 30 and August 6.

Vessel required for a test fishery in 4t9a and 4t9b.

This is an opportunity for any vessel/4t license holder who would like their name added for a draw to do a test fishery in 4t9a & 4t9b area on July 26 weather permitting or as soon as possible after this date.

You will be required to make sets with a minimum of 100 hooks per tub and at least one set in 4t9a and one set in 4t9b.

These are the only 2 areas open for this test fishery and you must only set within those areas

An observer will be aboard so you must have a toilet and safety equipment to submit your name. More details can be found in email sent this morning.

4vn will open for 400lbs round June 26 at 0001am closing at 1159pm July 5. Please check your emails for further information

There will be a new 4t opening for those who have conditions for the same
beginning June 7 at 0001am and closing June 14 at 1159pm

The quota for this opening is 2000 lbs round.

An opening for the 4vn fleet in 4t starting Thursday, May 25 (00:01) to Tuesday, June 6 (11:59) for all of NAFO 4T.

4vn 2nd spring 2023 opening details

4vn1100 will open Sunday, May 7th, 2023, at 0001am and close 10 days later on Tuesday, May 16th, 2023, at 1159pm

The quota is 1200 lbs round.

Bycatch is 5% over that amount, and a charge will be incurred.

Please remember the office phone is where you text your monitored weights and where you call to tell you hailed out.

4vn will open in the 4t area for those fishers in the membership that have 4t 1147 conditions.

The following portions of NAFTO Division 4T will be open 4T1, 4T8, 4T2a, 4T2b, 4T9a and 4T9b.

The opening will begin on April 23. 2023 at 0500am and close on April 29, 2023, at 1159pm

The opening has been approved for 3000 pound round.

Please text or leave a message after you hail out at 9023715358 to report you are going fishing and text a pic of your logbook to the same number as soon as possible after you have been monitored

FOR 4VN FISHERS WITH LIC/CONDITIONS FOR Atlantic halibut in 4T AN OPENING WILL OCCUR (April 23 AT 0500AM AND CLOSE APRIL -29, 2023 AT 1150PM) HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR 3000LBS ROUND

1st opening of 4vn for 2023 will happen at 0001am on April 6 closing at 1159pm on April 15 at 1159 pm.
The quota is 1200 lbs round.
If you plan on fishing this opening contract must be signed, you need your new conditions and your fees to fish must be paid.
All overruns will be charged a shore price and bycatch over 5% will be charged $1 per pound.

Halibut fishery in groundfish fishing division 4T for vessel class A1147 (Gulf Region) will be opened from March 13, 2023 at 0001am to March 17, 2023 at 23:59 (ADT) for all holders of groundfish licences authorized to fish for Halibut.

Quota is 3500lbs round.

3rd opening 4vn fall fishery 1260 round 1000 heads off gutted. Opening Saturday Oct 1 at 0001am closing Monday Oct 10 at 1159pm.

The 2nd opening of the 4VN1100 fall fishery is Tuesday the 20th of September The quota is 1260 Round /1000 head off and gutted starting on @ 0001 am and ending @ Sept 30th @ 2359pm

Please remember you must call/text the office to say you have hailed out and return your weigh-out slips within 24 hrs of being monitored.

The 1st opening of the fall 2022 4vn halibut fishery will begin Sept 9/22 at 0001am and closing Sept 18/22 at 1159pm. Quota 1260 round/1000lbs gutted heads off. Please keep bycatch to a minimum and safe fishing,

There will be an opening for 4vn starting Monday June 27th at 0001am and closing Sunday July 3rd at 1159pm 1200lbs round If you have any questions please call office. Just a reminder 4T will be closing Sunday June 26th and the quota is 1500lbs in that area

The current 4t opening is extended until Sunday June 26th closing at 7pm quota 1500lbs round.

4t opening for those fishers with 2022 conditions for the same will begin Monday June 13 at 0500am and close Friday June 17 at 8pm

The opening is for 4T9a&b, 4T1, 4T2a&b.

Quota for this opening will be 1500 lbs round

Please remember to call fish line after hailing to the dfo hailout line to report you are going fishing
.....and your monitored slips must be submitted within 24 hours or sooner after monitored offload.

If this does not happen sanctions will be enforced.
