Define your brand identity through brand storytelling. Grow and sell with storytelling marketing.
This is not easy, I know.
To create a community is a skill that you gain with time.
But it’s necessary if you want happy customers and customers that stay.
Because let’s face the truth, it’s not only the high quality of your book or the beauty of your videogame that makes them stay with you.
People like to be entertained, like to be heard, like to be part of something.
And if you do so, they’ll be your best fans.
Drop here under the questions you have about this topic!
I’d add: if you don’t want to be overwhelmed just choose 2 platforms!
One for long for content and one for short form content.
Examples: Youtube and Instagram.
Or Linkedin and a blog.
When you start a new experience online study first the market and balance it with what you like to do!
I tried a bit if everything but at them moment I have blog and Instagram.
What platforms are you using?
I wanted to be like everyone else because it seemed to work.
I followed the trends, the colors, the expressions.
And they were succeeding and I was not even getting one client.
Little by little I found out that you don’t succeed because you do what’s trendy.
You succeed because you build a strategy together with YOUR business personality.
And how do you get your personality out? With storytelling.
In this way you can really be unique and attract the right target.
It’s even easier when you are yourself!
In a world of unicorns, be you.
Follow to learn how to do it!
1. Close your eyes and imagine:
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Good.
Now think: what I can do now in order to reach that goal? What sub-goals can I set in order to accomplish that big goal?
You reach that 5year goal by taking small actions one after the other.
Do you see yourself with thousands of foIlowers?
- Then start now by being consistent with your 2/3/4/5 posts a week.
- Start now by creating posts with a meaning.
- Start now by telling people how their life will change if they folIow you and become part of your community.
Simple actions lead to great changes.
Do you agree with me?

This platform is not only for you if you are a novelist, but also if you are a professional who writes a specific book about your field.
Any type of writer can have benefits from Goodreads!
Yes, it’s not as advanced and as rich of features as other social media channels, but is it really important?
Or what you need is just books and the possibility to connect with other people?
For friends’ connections is a bit old style. It’s still bound to Facebook and your email list.
There are things that for sure can be improved but anyway is a great place where to promote your books!
Are you on Goodreads?
Let’s do a little recap of the most important possibilities you have when talking about online marketing.
Which did you choose and what’s the most difficult thing for you?
To have a brand means to keep trying to understand if the path you’re on is the right one.
You need to adjust everything from time to time, your visual identity, your website, your products… you are evolving and your brand is evolving too!
The guide I prepared will help at least with your IG profile!
How do you find the right time to post?
There’s only one advice I can give you:
you have to test.
Take a look at what moment of the day you a have time to post and engage, and do a small test. I had 3 best moments during my day and I tried:
- 2 weeks at 9am
- 2 weeks week at 12pm
- 2 weeks at 7pm
I saw that 12pm was a better moment both for me and for the reach of my posts.
This doesn’t mean that this moment of the day will always be the best one.
Keep your eyes (and your monthly report) open to see what happens!
The fact is that the variable here is PEOPLE.
People love habits, but their habits might change every season.
What I also suggest you is to post also the same amount of times per week. Do a test: how many posts can you afford to create per week?
Don’t overdo and be consistent with that number.
Really important news: if you care about the optimization of your profile, about taking the best out of this platform, then stop with those barroque and strange fonts.
Instagram SEO is not working with those fonts, the algorithms don’t recognize them.
Using the boring Instagram font is the best you can do!
What’s the perfect carousel/caption union?
Carousels have max 10 pages, right? You cannot say too much. It would also be too “heavy” if you write a lot.
So, you can write the most important things there and then continue in the caption. Creating a unique fluid story.
You may think that copy/paste the carousel in the caption might be good for the SEO. No.
Of course you should write a caption with all your important key words, and then add a couple of hashtags.
But what’s the point of copying the text? People are not going to read twice. And you want people to stay there on your post.
People may also think you’re not putting enough effort in your posts?
Keep them interested in your carousel, then send them in the caption for more!
OR you directly have your main CTA in the carousel and write a strong hook in the caption so they also continue to read.
It’s your choice!
How do you create your carousels?
This is a controversial theme.
Your posts have to have a meaning otherwise they’re useless.
Be fair and just post an amount of posts per week that you can afford. BUT if you post once a week there are just a few chances to grow. Isn’t this a bit overwhelming?
To find a good balance is the best answer you can get from me in this moment.
Put some effort in what you do and try to be present online. It is important for your business.
Let’s start from the basics!
If you have no clue and just want to focus on your writing, this is where you can start from.
Social media should be fun and not a struggle! Try to find what you like and what your potential readers like.
REMEMBER: when you start you create a community around books (or around your field od work if you are a professional writing a technical book) so it should be fun also for you!
Sometimes marketers don’t specify the details: content repurposing is a job!
There’s a difference though, between repurposing old content and repurposing new content on different platforms.
In the first case, as I said in the carousel, it’s not a 5min job.
In the second case, it’s usually a matter of modifying a the caption, links and hashtags for the platform.
Do you repurpose your content?
A book can be a versatile tool that will surprise you in a beautiful way.
Not only can be a nice way to earn more money, but it can be also the start of something bigger!
A book can be just the starting point of a much bigger service you can have. What about creating a book that it’s the base service connected to a much bigger one?
With just a small cost, you can give to your potential clients a teaser to your expertise, to your service that will change their life!

I’m ending the week with a beautiful review.
Thank you !
She needed a refresh on her profiles and some hints on how to improve her content strategy.
I’m so happy she will feel more confident in creating her content now!
You can have the biggest expert creating a strategy for you, but the strategy is only a guide.
The strategy is a help when you don’t know where to start from.
But if you’re not willing to test, experiment, analyze what’s good and what’s not, that strategy is just useless.
I know it’s harsh but this is how social media work. They are constantly changing and so does your business. And so should do also your content.
BUT changing in your own way, with your own signature. Is this what you’re doing?
Engaging is of course a good thing.
It’s like being friendly when you meet new people!
But are you doing it in the right way? Or are you even doing it at all?
Let’s discuss about this important part of your online presence ⬇️
To CTA or not to CTA, this is the question.😆
Yes to CTAs! But only at the end of a quality content.
Is AI an overused term too? 😂
And what about “positive vibe”?
How do you find your own words? Well, I use the dictionary! ChatGPT can also help sometimes for word search!
What about you?
Think about this: how can you target the right people and choose the right goal if you still don’t know where your business is going?
Yes, I think you should create an ad for your book launch. But at that point you’ll already created a community around it and know already what you’re searching for. Am I right?
Ads don’t bring you anything if you don’t know what you want.
Please, ask all your questions about ads in the comments, I’ll be happy to answer them in the next newsletter! (You can subscribe at the link in bio!)
Try not to be overwhelmed by the amount of information you receive.
Follow the experts you think are more near your way of doing things and that’s it. What’s the purpose of following 50 of us? At the end of the day you’ll just have a huge headache!
What are you favorite experts?
Packaging plays a crucial role in a comprehensive marketing strategy, serving to draw attention, communicate value, improve brand image, and ease the distribution.
Why shouldn’t this work also for books?
A beautiful cover (your package) doesn’t preclude the quality of your book. It’s just another way of having more eyes on your work.
Of course, there has to be more than a beautiful cover in order to succeed!
Good marketing also goes through the eyes of the beholder.
It’s true, the visual or aesthetic aspect is crucial. It has always been.
A good book cover is another hook you can use to attract and retain a reader.
The reader will then see how beautiful is the story behind that cover and will be yours forever ❤️
Do you agree with me? Or do you think that a good cover is not important? If so, why?
Your bio needs to be immediately understandable for people who jump into your profile.
Not too many words and emojis. Go straight to the point. What do you do? And for whom?
The first line is fundamental because it’s searchable. It’s how they find you! So stop using words nobody will use to find someone like you.
Highlights and Pinned Posts needs to be updated regularly (as anything else) and they are there to show new people who really are you and what you do, how you do it, reviews, events, etc.
I advice you to revise your bio at least twice a year. You can do it quickly with my Instagram Checklist! It helps you go straight to the point and doesn’t make you miss any detail!

What’s the purpose of your social media account?
To build a community and to sell your products. Right?
And how do you do that? By trying to attract people’s attention with images/videos and curated words.
Everything it’s easier if you put this words in a structure. Less overthinking, you just need to feel the gaps!
So here we are. The best engaging captions are made by beautiful strategic words integrated in this structure:
• hook: a eye-catching sentence or question
• thought: the explanation of the first sentence or question
• prompt: you command or ask people to do something in order to engage about that sentence/question.
But pay attention! Cause people will not follow your prompt unless your whole post is about something interesting for them.
Are you giving the right value to your captions? Ask me your questions about captions in the comments.
Highlights and Pinned Posts are, together with your bio, the first things people are going to see when they bump into your profile.
You better create them properly!
1. Highlights are perfect for something about you and your books that you also shared in your stories and don’t want people to miss: things about you (the “about me” section), reviews, events you participated in, important info…
I suggest not more than 4/5 highlights.
2. Pinned posts can be 3 examples of posts people are going to see if they follow you: one about your latest release, one about a theme you like to talk about a lot (other books if you are a writer, a particularity of your job if you are a professional), something else about you, your freebie, your services, etc.
You have this feature available, use it! What did you put in your highlights?
Do you have a link in your bio?
If you don’t, it means that you still didn’t create anything outside of social media.
And this is baaaaad.
You don’t own your social media account, so you should create something outside that is yours, like a blog/website, email list, or even podcast!
If you already have something: bravo!
Tools like allows you to put all the links you need in only one place.
At the moment Instagram is also giving the opportunity to have 5 links directly there on your profile.
But other tools can be good, cause they sometimes create a nice way to show your books in your link in bio, as you can see in the picture: you can show the cover, the different purchase solution, etc.
Nice right?!
What I suggest you, though, is to not exaggerate with the number of links in your linktree (or other tool), it will confuse people!
I think that 4/5 links should be the maximum amount!
What type of link in bio do you have?
Instead of thinking “how do I go viral?”, think “how do I reach my target reader”.
Instead of thinking “I need to grow more”, think first “I need to nurture and engage with my current audience”.
Everything else will follow!

It hasn’t been easy to find words with z and y 😂
If I have to be honest my intent was to create a “chill” and “safe” space.
But would “The safe factory” or “The chill factory” be so memorable?
I don’t think so😎
So let’s transform it into an acronym!
Repeat after me:
• I harness the POWER of strategy to work smarter, not harder
• my brand AWARENESS will lead me far far away
• my ENERGY will make me go on even when times will be difficult
• my PASSION will make me stay consistent and bring me to success
So don’t be fooled by the name. And let’s cheers in the comments to our l.a.z.y. view of our amazing businesses 🥂
