In other news, I’m still outfitting my trailer and I am LOVING IT. I’m almost done painting and we are gearing up to put flooring in! Mix in some market prep, tending to my perennials, and enjoying the last bit of summer - you’ve got one busy girl 🤓 and this isn’t even my day job 😏

We had a successful junkin’ adventure today 🦾
My fall collection is coming along nicely and we are preppin hard for the Mercantile market happening at the end of this month! 🕰️

Flea on Seventh has us feeling soooo happy! Everything about that market was awesome - the organization, the market crew (my personal fav was the water boy 💧), the lunch order delivered to our spot, the foot traffic - it was HOPPIN! - , the sweet customers I got to chat with, and all my visitors!

I’m constantly reminded when I do these events that I’ve definitely found my niche. I never knew that growing up loving the old & pre loved items would blossom into this. And when familiar faces pop in to support not only me, but all these other talented folks out here doing what we do - y’all keep us going! 🫶🏽

John, my counterpart - I couldn’t do it without him. From driving the trailer, carrying the heavy stuff, being the eye candy and drawing customers in, runnin the register, and being there to help me in any way I need.. I couldn’t ask for more. A fun customer asked yesterday if he was selling muscles 💪🏽 not for sale my friends 😂

The last week of sourcing has been so good to me 🥹🫶🏽 and goooood thing because I’ve got some heavy hitter markets coming up!

This Sunday I’ll be in Grand Haven for Flea on Seventh from 10-4! Join me and 80+ other vendors as we sling vintage & handmade items that you’ll be sure to love!

After that, I’ll be at the Found Cottage Mercantile Market during Labor Day weekend at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds! This will be my second year with them, and I’m such a lucky girl to have made it on their vendor list 🥰

Scored this set today for less than what it cost for my hubby and I to go out to eat 🙈 ..and we don’t drink sooooo that tells ya it was a damn good deal! The lady I bought them from said they were her great grandmas. Warm fuzzies y’all!

Chinook Pier! 🌞 Wow was it a hot one, but we had so much fun! We got to see so many familiar faces - a huge thank you to the friends and family who came out to see us and shop this awesome market. We met some beautiful people too! From sweating by 8am, to John rolling up with a much needed new fan, healing through Henna and being brought to tears by a beautiful soul creating it, and everything in between -we SO enjoyed our day.

Just over here slingin’ your granny’s formerly loved knickknacks, your dads 90s fashion that your mom made him get rid of, and the furniture that needed some TLC 🔨

I’m still blown away by the support that Thrift About It and I received for our brainchild, The Carlton Pop Up! It was an action packed weekend, truly! John and I got to see so many old friends and met plenty of new ones too! The clothes were flying off the racks, the music was top notch vibes (thank you so so much to all our DJs who spun for us all!), the permanent jewelry was getting linked, the lemonade was DELICIOUS, and everything was truly magical. It’s so fun to see plans come to life!

I have to give it up for Kels. With her experience, her community she’s built around her, and her passion for slinging secondhand made her a great partner for the ideas we had together. I am grateful for the teamwork we shared and I am SO looking forward to more events planned by the both of us! 👯‍♀️

John had a huge helping hand (as always) with providing the sound equipment and being a mule during breakdown. And he makes a great cashier 😎 And while he ramps up my anxiety leading up to markets, I really can’t do this stuff without him 🫶🏽
