In August 2023, DATMA hosted cutting-edge San Francisco based architect & designer, Virginia San Fratello, in New Bedford to teach SouthCoast educators, designers, artists, and students how to push the boundaries of 3D printing using readily available tools and earthenware.
These workshops were entirely free for participants thanks to the Mass Cultural Council New Bedford and the many generous individuals who have recently contributed to the Roger Mandle Legacy Education Fund.
And a big thank you to Umass Dartmouth CVPA Star Store for hosting DATMA at their ceramics facilities.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS & CREATIVES!!!
Applications are now open for DATMA's 2023 Call for Art made by SouthCoast creatives: Open Studios on the Sidewalk!
This Call for Art is about highlighting SouthCoast artists who don't usually consider their work to be “the right medium” for public art. We want to open the possibilities of what artists consider public art mediums, display new methods, and get them energized about exhibiting artworks in the community and outside the typical “white-cube” gallery.
“Open Studios on the Sidewalk” is about opening up doors to the different creative practices in the SouthCoast region, and showcasing the unique spaces where artists produce work within our creative economy.
Applications open through April 11th - for details ➡️ link inopen
