Sharing a personal story of loss from a friend in West Bank : “This is a photo of Mohammad Lozon, a 12-year-old boy who was murdered by Israelis one week ago while breaking his Ramadan fast with his family. His simple decision to move from one room to another within his home cost him his life. The room was bombed, and Mohammad is now a martyr. In utter shock from the tragedy, Mohammad’s family could not leave the house with their beloved son’s body alone inside. I cannot begin to imagine what it was like for them to live with their murdered child right in front of their eyes for four days. What choice did Israeli forces leave them? Living near Al-Shifa hospital, they feared becoming targets for Israeli Occupation forces, who are reportedly ordered to shoot at any moving object.

The pain and disbelief I feel are indescribable. I still can't begin to understand the anguish of my friend Islam, his wife, and their children. Islam and I have been friends since October 2023 when he sought my help for his wife's labor. She needed a C-section for their son Mahmoud, and although Islam had arranged everything, he was told that anesthetic was unavailable. Thankfully, we managed to secure the necessary anesthetic.
When Islam called to tell me about Mahmoud's death, his voice trembling with grief, I was at a loss for words. Our conversation ended in mutual emotional turmoil. How does one find closure in such a devastating situation?” read the rest in comments ⬇️
