GREAT FALLS, MT, October 30, 2023 – The Cascade County Libertarian Party (CCLP) announces its endorsement of Cayle Halberg for the position of Municipal Court Judge of Department B.
The CCLP firmly believes that Cayle's approach aligns with libertarian principles, emphasizing individual rights and ensuring fair trials. As the foundation of our rights is laid within our court systems, Cayle's dedication to these principles is both timely and essential.

Cascade County Libertarian Party Opts to Not Endorse Any of the Mayoral or City Commissioner Candidates - Great Falls Gazette Cascade County Libertarian Party (CCLP) released a statement today confirming that they would not endorse any candidates in city elections next month. GREAT FALLS, MT, October 10, 2023 - The Cascade County Libertarian Party (CCLP) conducted roundtable discussions with mayoral and city commissioner candidates in preparation for the November 2023 election. These roundtables, each featuring three candidates, aimed to assess their collegiality and willingness to engage in dialogue with the CCLP, regardless of alignment with libertarian principles.
We had hoped to endorse candidates based on discussions of current city issues, but the CCLP did not reach a consensus for endorsement. Our decision not to endorse stems from several factors:
• All candidates expressed support for the upcoming safety levy and bond, with concerns primarily focused on potential tax implications for residents. However, none of them voiced criticism or reluctance regarding current budgets, community outcomes, or City Commission decisions over the past five decades.
• Additionally, although some candidates criticized the library levy earlier this year, it was disappointing to learn that the library levy was intentionally placed on the June primary ballot to avoid simultaneous levies in November. The CCLP believes that residents should have had the opportunity to decide on both, one, or neither levy.
• Lastly, the CCLP felt that many candidates overlooked the informal role they can play in the community. As elected representatives of Great Falls residents, we expect the Mayor and City Commissioners to actively advocate for protecting individual freedoms from all levels of government, including the State and Federal government.
While the CCLP did not endorse any candidates, we believe it is important to highlight their attributes for the community's consideration. Therefore, we have provided comments based on our impressions of these candidates as voters prepare for the November election.

MTGOP does NOT care about a free market otherwise they would work to free farmers and ranchers from the corporatization of these industries instead of creating more dependency on gov’t

Do you have questions about your property taxes? Plan to attend the July 10, 2023, Department of Revenue Property Assessment Town Hall. (Time and location listed below)
The Department of Revenue recently mailed real property classification and appraisal notices. This notice does not serve as a tax bill, it only includes the Department's determination of market value for your property for tax years 2023 and 2024.
It is important that property owners review this notice and review the information about your property characteristics at Property.MT.gov.
It is also important to understand that even if your notice indicates that your property’s market value has increased over the past two years, this does not necessarily mean that your property taxes will go up the same percentage. If you'd like to better understand your appraisal notice and learn how the taxation process works, attend the Great Falls Town Hall to get your questions answered.
