The 24th and final grant for the 2020 "24 Days of Giving" is in honor of a family that's been longtime supporters of Katharine's Wish. This family selected the Mayo Clinic Children's Center - Pediatric Surgery Dept. to receive this award. We thank them and all of you for your continued support. Back in 2008, co-founder Spencer's sister Katharine was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. While Katharine was still in the ICU, the two siblings (just 9 and 4 at the time), decided they wanted to help other kids who were sick and scared while in the hospital & that's how Katharine's Wish was born. In honor of Katharine's continued, daily courage living with type 1, today's $500 grant is going to Park Nicollet Clinic & Specialty Center - Diabetes Special Needs Fund. Little AJ and his family have been longtime supporters of us & we cheer them on every day as they continue to move mountains and show the world there are "no limits" to what AJ can accomplish. The 2nd recipient of a Katharine's Wish grant during our "24 Days of Giving" event is in honor of a special young man named Tyler. Like our co-founder Katharine back in 2008, Tyler was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes earlier this year. Tyler's a brave, strong and resilient young man who's showing diabetes who's BOSS and we're so proud of him. Tyler and his family selected HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI to receive this $500 grant to help bring comfort and smiles to other pediatric patients receiving care. Way to go, Tyler! Drumroll, please! HUMONGOUS shout-out to JAMF Software for donating $4,000.00+ to Katharine's Wish - our LARGEST donation to date!!!!! To celebrate the release of 9.0, JAMF's "Sam the Man" offered to have his hair & beard shaved (mutilated) by the highest bidder in the office.
