I walked from Kanyakumari to Kashmir on the Bharat Jodo Yatra to fight the hate-filled ideology of the RSS-BJP. The ideology of the RSS is a direct threat to the Union of India.

For us, each state has its own culture, tradition and religious practices. For us, these are the foundations of the idea of India.

An India where people are scared to practice their religion, speak their language, or follow their tradition is not an India we're interested in!

The biggest example of what the BJP's ideology can do is what is happening in Manipur.

It's always a pleasure to come to Mizoram. It brings back old memories of mine when I first came here in 1986.

At that time, Mizoram was transitioning from violence to peace and harmony. You achieved statehood in 1987. So it's been quite a long journey.

Any progress is built on peace and harmony.

I would like you to consider what the government has done here over the last five years. Drugs are spreading rampantly among the future generation; 250 young lives have been extinguished because of this.

Unemployment among the youth is the major reason for the drug menace in Mizoram.

While the BJP attacks your culture, tradition & religion, the MNF supports it in Delhi.

Manipur is just a symptom of the problem. You can see the same problem in a smaller form in many different parts of the country.

There's oppression being carried out on the people of India. I view it as an attack on the idea of India. What's happened in Manipur is also an attack on the idea of India.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra was about protecting every single religion, culture, language and tradition of this country.

The idea of Manipur has been destroyed by the BJP. Manipur is no longer a state. It has been divided. People have been murdered, women have been molested and babies have been killed, but the Prime Minister doesn't find it important to visit the state.

The fact that the leader of our union has not even been to Manipur is something to be ashamed of!

Nobody in the national media talks about the pain and misery of the people of Manipur.

The PM and the GoI are highly interested in what is happening in Israel but not interested at all in what is going on in Manipur.

While Congress is developing states and protecting farmers, labourers & MSMEs, the BJP is busy attacking them. GST is designed to harm MSMEs and weaken India's farmers.

We all know what happened during demonetisation, a completely ridiculous idea conceived by the Prime Minister of our country. The economy still hasn't fully recovered.

If you want to understand PM Modi's strategy for developing India's economy, it can be summed up in one word: 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗶.

Everything is designed to benefit one businessman.

The idea of 'Bharat Jodo' won India, promoting mutual respect, tolerance, learning from others' ideas, languages, and religions, and embracing love as a unifying force.

However, this is the idea that the BJP is currently challenging as they target different communities, religions, languages, and cultures, promoting violence, arrogance, and a lack of understanding. This stance is entirely contrary to the idea of India that we hold dear—one that values respect for all and the protection of everybody.

The people of Mizoram are gentle, kind and affectionate. People with a strong sense of community. People who respect each other and also people with different ideas. It is something to be very proud of!
