🐗 MEET THE BOARD 🐗

Mary Kirchner is our Events Coordinator this year!

🐗 ABOUT MARY 🐗

How long have you lived in DC?

Over 5 and a half years, I moved here in January of 2017.

Why did you move to DC?

I interned for Congressman Womack in college and fell in love with Capitol Hill & DC. I knew I had to live here one day and would regret it if I didn't try.

What's your favorite restaurant in DC?

Brasserie Liberte! I love french food (and wine)

Why did you choose the University of Arkansas?

Other than it being 10 minutes from my house, I always wanted to be a Razorback and basically everyone I knew was going there. I only applied to the U of A.

What do you miss most about Fayetteville?

I miss gamedays. Being able to tailgate and go to a game every weekend feels like a luxury haha but I love our watch parties!!

What is your favorite Razorback tradition?

I think it is so unique that we engrave every graduate's name on the sidewalk. There is nothing like seeing your name etched in stone and leaving your mark on the University!

See y’all on Saturday! WPS 🐗❤️

How long have you lived in DC?

I have lived in the Washington DC area since January 2016.

Why did you move to DC?

I moved to DC two weeks after graduating from the University of Arkansas in hopes of starting a career in national security and international affairs.

What’s your favorite restaurant in DC?

My favorite restaurant in Washington DC is Daru.

Why did you choose the University of Arkansas?

I chose the University of Arkansas because it is where my mom, grandfather, and many other family members went. I was raised a huge Arkansas Razorback fan and it never crossed my mind to go anywhere else.

What do you miss most about Fayetteville?

The thing I miss most about Fayetteville is definitely Razorback Game Day!

What’s your favorite Razorback tradition?

My favorite Razorback tradition is Calling the Hogs because it makes us unique and it is infamous across the nation!

🐗 MEET THE BOARD 🐗

Kali Fleming is serving as the Communications Director for the Arkansas Alumni Board DC Chapter. Kali is from McCrory, Arkansas, and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a major in Agricultural Business, Pre-Law and a minor in International Economic Development. She recently graduated from the American University Washington College of Law and just started a judicial clerkship in DC.

🐗 ABOUT KALI 🐗

- How long have you lived in DC?

I’ve lived in DC for two years! I did my first year of law school at the University of Arkansas School of Law (yay Law Hogs!) before transferring to American to finish my degree.

- Why did you want to move to DC?

I wanted to pursue professional opportunities that were more relevant to my career goals in business law and international law. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to pursue internships in DC while finishing my degree!

- What your favorite restaurant in DC?

I love Gypsy Kitchen’s outdoor rooftop area.

- Why did you choose the University of Arkansas?

The University of Arkansas afforded me so many opportunities. I was incredibly fortunate to have been selected as a Bodenhamer Fellow, and the Bodenhamer family and Honors College community encouraged me to pursue my professional and personal interests throughout my undergraduate career — from conducting research to studying abroad. I chose Arkansas because I was able to seamlessly blend my academic interests in agricultural business, law, and international development into one degree, and I was supported by such wonderful faculty along the way.

- What do you miss the most about Fayetteville?

I miss game days on the Hill and Arsagas!

- Favorite Razorback tradition?

Calling the Hogs!
