Welcome to join together on Fridays For Future's 🔥 Global klimatstrejk 🔥/Climate Strike and demonstration on April the 19th in Stockholm.
When: April 19th, 2024
What time: 9:15 we gather, 9:30 we march
Where: KTH Entre (and then we walk together to Odenplan).

KTH Students for Sustainability are inviting you to join the strike, where we will demonstrate for our planet, our future and a better world, together with people all over the world on the same day. Students have been at the front of large societal changes in history, and we must use our political power today to be able to use our educational power in the future.

To prepare for the demonstration and to socialize with like-minded people, we invite you for a banner drawing workshop/gathering on Tuesday, the 16th of April. It will be held at KI, together with our friends from Students for Sustainable Development at KI.
Time: 17-20, but you can come and go as you like.
Place: Klubbvåningen, 1st floor of MF Kårhuset, Solna.

Other banner workshops during the week:
Monday the 15th at 16-20 at Momentum, Fryshuset.
Wednesday the 17th at 17-20 at Aggregat, Hallonbergen.

On the 19th of April, we will group up at KTH Entré at 9:15 to go at 9:30 to the demonstration at Odenplan together. There we will meet up with other universities and march together in the demonstration. Our FB event is GLOBAL CLIMATE STRIKE 19/4 - KTH Campus participation

We’re excited to share some fantastic news with you all!
Last Thursday, our newly formed SforS board convened for their very first meeting, and we’re delighted to unveil our dedicated team members and their respective roles (from the left):

This dynamic team is all set to lead us forward. Stay tuned for exciting updates and initiatives from SforS!

We are glad to announce that next Thursday, September 28th, we will have the KTH Students for Sustainability (SforS) onboarding event! This is the best way to get introduced into the workings, project and opportunities of SforS. You do not have to be an (active) member to join. Come and listen who we are, stay with for more.
Date: September 28th
Time: 17:30.
Place KTH Innovation, Teknikringen 1.
At the event, we will go through the ongoing projects, collaborations, how we communicate, and how we organize ourselves. We will also try to at least sketch the space of possibilities for new initiatives. Last but not least - we will show you how you can get involved and integrate into SforS yourself!
The space and the provisions for the event are provided by KTH Innovation. Thank you KTH Innovation!
TIMELINE OF THE EVENT: We anticipate around 1h presentation in the beginning, and 1h of mingling and project brainstorming (with tea and some light snacks) afterward.

Hello, ! A little presentation of our grassroots student sustainability group!

As our statute states, "The purpose of KTH Students for Sustainability is to bring people together, to empower KTH students engaging with sustainability issues, and to create an environment of collaboration among sustainability initiatives."

We act at and beyond KTH. We will support students in all actions consistent with our values. Our ongoing projects include:
- food group, with a focus on an advocacy campaign for a catering policy decreasing the environmental impact of KTH;
- climate action group, focused on mobilizing KTH Campus to participate in civil society responses to the climate crisis;
- Climate Action Lectures, a series of interactive learning opportunities in different forms, covering a variety of climate action-related topics within academia and beyond.
- bike group, focused on making regular bike-repair workshops at KTH;
- SmartaKartan Stockholm, mapping and interacting with the sharing economy enterprises around Stockholm;
- social group, organizing casual meet-ups of our community :)

And many projects to be revived or started ;)

We collaborate closely with other groups at KTH, such as , , and KTH Sustainability Office. Our friends go beyond KTH as well, including , and . We are also Klimatstudenterna KTH and you can get involved in the Sweden-wide and international network through us.

Brown Bag Seminar: James Dunk - Environ/mental: Planetary Mental Health and the Ecological Self | KTH Welcome to a lunch seminar with researcher James Dunk. He will give you a presentation on planetary mental health and ecological self, followed by a conversation with the audience.

DEMONSTRATION UTANFÖR "KLIMATMÖTET" 16 JUNI

Regeringen gick vid nyår ut och annonserade med p***a och ståt att de skulle arrangera ett stort nationellt klimatmöte under våren. Inbjudna är 273 personer, bland annat representanter för oljeindustrin, flygindustrin och skogsindustrin. Sammanlagt är över 60 % av de inbjudna från näringslivet. Hur många unga är inbjudna undrar ni kanske? Svaret är 0. Från klimatorganisationer har endast Naturskyddsföreningen, WWF och Ekomodernisterna bjudits. Representation från urfolk och andra drabbade grupper saknas också helt. Dessutom är mötet inget riktigt möte, utan en serie panelsamtal där de mest skyldiga till klimatkrisen får greenwasha sig själva och förespråka mer Business As Usual.

Men ni kan vara lugna, inbjudan eller inte så kommer vi vara där. Vi ses klockan 09:00 utanför hotell Mariott på Kungsholmen nu på fredag 16 juni för att visa vad vi tycker om den förda klimatpolitiken. Kom dit du med och skrik dig hes på Ulf Kristersson, Ebba Busch, Romina Pourmokhtari och alla andra som avsiktligt och medvetet eldar upp framtiden.

Under dagen kommer vi på en scen utanför ha tal, musik och panelsamtal med coola aktivister och artister. Om du gör musik och vill spela på demonstrationen, hör av dig!
