Bakuchiol Oil Serum Formulation

📔Ingredients:
Caprylic-capric triglycerides
Coco Caprylate
Isoamyl Laurate
Kukui Nut Oil (or your favorite, lightweight oil)
Bakuchiol
Vitamin E

You can make this product even lighter by swapping some of the Caprylic Capric Triglycerides for Coco Caprylate, Squalane, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Isoamyl Laurate, etc.

If you don't have Bakuchiol but would like to make an oil serum you could use Coenzyme Q10, Age 22, or your favorite oil-soluble active and leave the rest of the ingredients as they are.

I usually start by writing down a rough formulation idea in the Airtable, doing my research, creating a prototype formula in the Airtable, and then write it down in my formulation journal.

When I make my batch of the formula, sometimes I need to change things as I go, so I write them quickly in the journal and update the Airtable formulation base.

I know that it seems like a lot of extra work, but this helps me stay organized, and I always know what and when I made it.

It's perfect for summer: it's super light, very hydrating and moisturizing, absorbs quickly, and it also provides soothing and calming properties to the skin due to that 5% Panthenol.

I used Olivem 2020 to make this body yogurt but I know it could be difficult to source so you could use Sepimax Zen or Aristoflex but you would have to add about 5% oils to the original formula.

I've just shared a short tutorial +recipe on how to make super soothing & moisturizing bath bombs.
I used goat's milk powder, colloidal oatmeal, and cocoa butter and the bath bombs turned out amazing!
You can add honey powder and a surfactant if you want.
The best thing about these bath bombs is that they dry fast and are very hard, cocoa butter definitely helps to make them more stable.
So if you're a beginner, use cocoa butter instead of liquid oils.
