The effort that goes into each board to achieve this state is hard to grasp until you’ve done it and experienced the process. What is Counting Coup?
Counting coup was a relatively harmless act of bravery and war honor of the highest grade. Any blow struck against the enemy counted as a coup, but the most prestigious acts included touching an enemy warrior, with the hand or with a coup stick.The term is of French origin from the noun coup (pronounced /ku/) which means a hit, a blow or a strike. The expression can be seen as referring to "counting strikes". Coups were recorded by notches in the coup stick, or by feathers in the headdress of a warrior who was rewarded with them for an act of bravery.

We have an opening for FULL TIME entry level manufacturing position. This labor intensive position requires someone team oriented with the ability to pay attention to detail and work unsupervised. No experience necessary. Must be willing to learn and work in a fast paced environment.

Every fracture burned deck we make is given the utmost care and attention. This process takes countless of hours. Whether it’s fracture burning (which can be extremely dangerous) to pouring resin, the attention to detail is critical. TRIBE SK8Z is a Virginia Beach based company fortunate enough to be surrounded by a tight group of talented people. The city of Va Beach has been so good to us and our families that it was important to develop the brand within the 757 and keeping the products MADE IN USA.
Our goal is to build a lifestyle brand while having fun doing it. We mix pop culture, local artists, and graphic designers to produce one of a kind products. We make custom skateboards of all shapes for wall art and completes. We also offer custom pieces, and promotional items for your business. FROM OUR FOUNDER:
I grew up skateboarding locally and had plans to move to California to turn Pro.... then after September 11th, I decided I needed to join the military at 17. I graduated high school a year early and joined the month after. Due to my aggressive skating style and the profession I choose in the military, I was forced to hang up my skateboard for the rest of my career for risk of being injured and possibly missing a deployment. TRIBE SK8Z custom boards, artwork and apparel are all hand made within the United States... because we love and support our country and we hope you do too!
I managed to remain active in the sport, but now as a spectator. As retirement is rapidly approaching I thought it is time to get back to my roots and refocus my passion on what I love... Skateboarding, aggressive lifestyle, tattoos and supporting veteran charities. The idea about making custom skateboards started when I was sitting in my buddies tattoo chair getting some work done. I asked my close friend “Joey Nobody” if he would donate some time to design some graphics for this company I wanted to start. We have been designing memorial art for fundraisers for over 16 years together and Joey jumped at the chance to do something completely different. With the addition of Joey to the team and his amazing artistic abilities, we have been able to do something never seen before. We can take your idea from concept to reality in a few hours and build you a custom 1 of 1 art piece.
