I forgot to post this! Here’s an illustration I did for ‘s last issue to accompany my short story publication “The Lakeweed Girl”. It was such an absolute pleasure being asked to make an illustration for my own writing. My educational background is in creative writing -though my art has been taking front seat time wise - but I haven’t often combined the two. I want to do a graphic novel someday!

Another clear sticker design!

Good morning! Here was the 3rd of my Rokurokubi sticker design ❤️ I love drawing these. I have another in the works.

Peek some of my weirder ceramics (and some ghibli dishes) on sale at this past Saturday with my art! They were a hit ❤️ What an awesome experience that was! I hope to table at some of the summer markets and hopefully this year!

And oh my gosh, I drew another boy! 👀 And I tried some lighting (lazy lighting)
Every year I am so glad to be a host for this event! It's amazing to see all the work everyone created over the week (and longer in my case) 🤷‍♀️

Day 3 - Bloom / Wither. This is based on Japanese myths of camellia bushes that become yokai when they're old and can take various forms (the one I read about took the form of a woman under the bush who lured people away). I hope you like it! I'll have the forth post (Peaceful /Chaotic) done and posted soon! Can you guess which prompt I'll choose?

prompt Day 1: Potion / Poison! The next prompt is Divine and/or Mortal! Who is your favourite divine character from folklore?
I wanted to do something with poisonous plants, so I chose Belladonna because I like the round shape of the seed pods.
There is definitely a lot happening in this piece (too much probably), but the day is almost over and I need to sleep and I need to just let it go!

Okay friends! It's that time of the year again! Fairyfae Week will be from April 17-23!

🧚🏿‍♀️🌻 How it works 🌻🧚
For the four days of prompts (yes, just four) there will be both a "light" and "dark" option to choose from (or a combination of both if you want). This represents the duality often portrayed in fairytales and folklore. This year we’ve chosen prompts that make it easier for artists to combine prompts into one or two pieces if you didn’t have as much time! You can use the prompt to interpret an existing fairytale or creature in the world of folklore OR completely make up your own!

The hosts will be sharing pieces we like in our stories throughout the week and we hope you can participate right along with us!
The prompts will be released March 20th!
