NY Times Best of 2023! Every morning I read my NY Times Morning Newsletter, bracing for the horror the news so often delivers but appreciating the writing's concise and conversational tone, not to mention the pop culture shoutouts and occasional bomb recipe. Imagine my surprise when I clicked to discover my Modern Love podcast today, chosen as "Best of Audio 2023"? I almost spit out my coffee. It's a remarkable thing to be applauded for being so unapologetically yourself. Grateful and proud.

four years ago The NY Times published my essay about ronen in their Modern Love series and it remains one of the proudest moments of my career.

and then the podcast came calling. it’s terrifying to be so vulnerable so publicly but also exactly the kind of thing that ronen would applaud.

If you like, listen to me read the essay and also a very thoughtful interview by Anna Martin and the amazing modern love team.
