refresh on the lovely .willa, applying face frame + hairline foils with (20vol) washed with Matrix ‘Bleach Finder’ shampoo, detangled with ‘insta cure b5’ and did a color melting toner using demi 5K + 6KR as a root tap > 7OO@GK + 2 drops of pure pigment orange.

this look was achieved with a full baby-slice foil using 15 vol to lift (starting at a natural ashy level 6) and toned at the root to mid with ‘Violet’ + ‘Pink’ fast toners (10vol) leaving 3+ inches of tips applying their semi in ‘First Base’.

hair so long, I had to change the aspect ratio on the second photo to get it to fit Instagrams standards 😜

this was achieved once again using for a high impact lift with lots of teasy foils, with a custom alkaline semi-root toner by , blending into the mids and ends with liquid.

• to pull a corrective platinum card starting with 10v in foils (thin sections)and finishing with 20vol.

•rinsed and washed with ‘Bleach Finder’, pre-toned with 9B + 10T in Shades, washed and detangled with Matrix ‘InstaCure B5’ to even out porosity.

•’Nightfall, Sorcery, and Clouded’ by were used to create this rooty-melt. (30 min, heavily saturated)

•rinsed + sealed with the Acidic Color bonding shampoo and conditioner, cut & styled.

-Split colors are always fun to fade out and switch up if possible! Did that today by using to pre-lighten the root area of one half, clarifying the old orange ends at the sink when rinsing.

•applied the base color of 6KR+7KR+7OO+2 drops of the enhancing Orange pure pigments >10 vol from root to end. toned blonde pieces with ‘Pale Platinum’.

With 2024 slowly creeping up, it has dawned on me that I will have reached a year at ! Becoming and independent hair artist was the best decision I ever made, but with that came some valuable and hard lessons I have learned about doing business for myself in this industry.

It’s okay to make mistakes while learning, but it’s also better to make positive and solid changes to ensure I can continue doing what I love and be on the same page with everyone that chooses to sit in my chair.

came back to me all the way from NY to get this gorgeous balayage -

we used to lift, and high speed toners + sealed it in at the sink with their semi- ‘Cleopatra’

washed & styled using ‘Food For Soft’, including the deep conditioning mask >

and I shed some happy tears at the end of this one because this result came from a total of TWO complete corrective services comprised of:

•one round of CPR post color disruptor+undo-goo wash and rinse.

•global lighten (2 times in the span of two separate appointments) with 15>20 vol taking the thinnest sections.

•toned in a staggered sectioning pattern with 12-12+12-11 > sealed at the sink with the Silver series to really lock it in.

•washed + styled with Brass Off + Food For Soft + MegaSleek Products.

*this process is a journey and not a ‘one size fits all’ for any head. I love being able to bring someone to a much easier and comfortable hair lifestyle, so they can blend in their natural pigment and feel no more pressure to deposit deep color on their roots every 2 weeks.

Moving forward I will be discussing with my booking app if they are adding a feature to notify me when people cancel or freeze forms of payment. That is the retainer for the appointment to try to avoid the hassle of deposits, BUT if there are people who will try to waste my time after agreeing to my policies, I may have to start enforcing deposits until GlossGenius decides to add a more secure feature.

I give people 72 hours within the appointment date of grace to confirm, and 48 to decide on cancelation and rescheduling. There is no excuse for extreme late cancelations/no calls/no shows and essentially robbing me of time and money when I have a waiting list in place for that very reason.
