State Technical College of Missouri's mission is to prepare students for profitable employment and a life of learning.

The Communications Department offers several courses to help achieve this mission. State Tech’s Communications Department offers several courses required for associates and bachelor’s degrees. Courses include English Composition I, English Composition II, Oral Communications, Public Speaking, Theater, American Literature, Job Search Strategies, and Technical Writing, among others.
