My friend Amy sent me a text earlier this week asking if we could get together for a coffee or lunch. My initial reaction was for us to meet somewhere, but then I thought we’d have a much better visit if she came to our home. I decided I wasn’t going to worry about what my house looked like, what we’d eat, if there were dishes left in the sink or if the toys were still on the living room floor. Instead, I chose to focus on the connection time spent over tomato soup & grilled cheese.
