The Guilty Greenie
A budding blog with an eco-guilty conscience. Putting sustainability second only to sanity. Perhaps the info and insights I share will help you do the same. P.S.
I’ve learned how to use my green guilt to inspire rather than depress me. I strongly believe that creating real change happens best through positive motivation. I'm pretty much just here to lurk on cool blogging groups. My main social networks are twitter @guiltygreenie and pinterest.com/guiltygreenie.

Handrawn Floral Clipart Elements These ~Perfectly Imperfect~ Handrawn Floral Elements were originally drawn in pen on recycled paper. They have a fluid, sketched feel, and are a little abstract while still being close in composition to their biological counterparts. Theyre meant to be, as the title hints, a bit imperfect looking.
The way he stares up at him 😭😍
Somehow I have a hard time believing this could work somewhere in the U.S. but you never know...impressive and inspiring nonetheless.

Yes! So cool to see this coming from a mainstream site. The word is out! Only 50% of what we put in the recycling bin actually gets recycled.
This. We need more ideas like this around the world!
It's not often you can see such direct benefit of your charity. And this charity is so easy - simply web searching. I wish I had known about Ecosia sooner. I've been using Swagbucks and making money for myself (which has been nice!), but I just switched to Ecosia, and posts like this make me feel great about this decision.
A women’s collective in Safa, Ethiopia, is helping to reforest and restore a watershed in a particularly dry, degraded area. Now the river flows year-round.
The result? Local farmers produce nearly twice as much coffee as before and can send their children to school. Thank you, Ecosians! 💚
'E-Waste' Photo Shoot Turns Forgotten Electronics Into Art Benjamin Von Wong creates stunning photography with a message behind it, and his latest work focuses on how little old computer parts are reused. He looks to spread awareness with his images to get people to "rethink and recycle."

Got green guilt? It’s a thing. These days, it’s shoved down our throats that the fate of the planet weighs on each of our shoulders. And, unfortunately, there’s a whole lot of truth to that message. Yet, the pressure to go green and the challenges that it entails that can make the task feel daunting. It can make people want to give up altogether, sometimes before they even start. It can muddy the process, making it unenjoyable, cumbersome, and less efficient. That's why it's so important to take a look at your green guilt: http://www.guiltygreenie.com/green-guilt/
these are stunning. so vivid!

First Time Here?
Welcome to the page for The Guilty Greenie, a blog about green living and mindfulness. I go by Gigi. Happy to virtually meet you. I am a twenty-something writer, artist, and educator. I got involved in environmental activism when I was a teenager, and at the time, I felt the weight of the world on my shoulders. It took me a few years to fully realize that in order to heal the planet, I needed to start by healing myself. Maybe you’re here because you also want to save the earth, or maybe you simply want to adjust your own lifestyle. Well, whether you are a veteran green freak, a mindfulness newbie, or simply a curious person, I invite you to join me as I am to take a holistic, non-judgmental, and practical approach to change.
