We are pleased to announce that the steel sets for the new Russell Portal are in the final stages of completion and our work on the portal is about to conclude! Rehab efforts to lay the groundwork for the restart of mining will commence in the coming weeks. š§Øā
Throwback Thursday: Last October, Bunker Hill Mining undertook a geotechnical drill campaign to better understand the ground conditions at the Kellogg landing, where our new mill will be stationed. Evaluating the ground and foundation of the former machine shop led to the decision to install a new building and foundation.
Removal of the old machine shop foundation continues as we prepare for the installation of the new mill building and equipment in anticipation of processing ore by the end of 2024, with the goal of quickly ramping up to 1,800 tons per day.

On Friday, we hosted a ceremony celebrating the progress made thus far and the symbolic ground-breaking of the official restart of the Bunker Hill Mine, starting with the expansion of the Russell Tunnel. Officials from all over the state, including Governor Brad Little, were present to commemorate this occasion. Our guest of honor, Mary Katherine Russell, is the wife of the late Bob Russell, whom the Russell Tunnel is named after. Thank you to all who were able to come out and celebrate with us.š

Over the weekend, crews from Wilson Construction Company installed infrastructure to accommodate a power upgrade to our Wardner facility. We are working with Avista Utilities to provide hydroelectric power to the mine, setting the stage to remove diesel-powered equipment from underground. š§ā”ļø
