• Wildbird Aerial Bib/Topper - This bib covers the headrest of your Aerial carrier to protect and style your carrier. The bib fits snuggly over the headrest and snaps below the straps to secure it. Headrest can be used in the up or down position while the bib is on. While the Aerial is not a front-facing carrier, this bib does have moderate absorbancy for babies who turn their heads to suck or chew on the front of the carrier.

• Wildbird Aerial Hood - This flat hood was designed to specifically fit the Aerial carrier. Straps on the bottom of the hood have hidden elastic, to tightly fit around the straps and help it stay put. Added length to the bottom of the hood gives coverage at the bottom and prevents gapping. Two attached reach straps snap around the loops on the straps of the carrier when the hood is in use.

These can both be made in the large variety of fabrics shown in my Etsy shop!

✨ Straight or Curved Suck/Drool Pads on the Wildbird Aerial? ✨
Let’s talk about the Wildbird Aerial and suck/drool pad fit. This carrier has a more uniquely shaped strap because it tapers to the base of the strap. Even though it’s not uncommon for baby carrier straps not to be a consistent width, this one causes more suck pad fit issues. Straight suck pads will work on this carrier but there is a lot of gapping at the base of the strap. I found that curved suck pads fit well though, and the curved part helps to hold the suck pads in place. My recommendation: curved suck pads fit best on this carrier.
I hope to soon start on a straight suck pad design that will fit the more unique shape of this strap!

That moment when you realize that the bib that you made has held up for 10 years!
On the left is my daughter (now 12 years old) using the Tidy Tot Big Bib, on the right is my nephew using the exact same bib. Between my 2 youngest children and my nephew and niece, 4 children have used this bib for over 10 years. How is that for a testimonial?! 😮
