Scoliosis no more!
These are the operative photos of a 5 hour scoliosis correction/alignment surgery done in an 18-year-old female that was found to have idiopathic scoliosis when was 14.

Intramuscular (IM) is used to deliver a medication deep into the muscles. This allows the medication to be absorbed into the bloodstream quickly. IM injections are absorbed faster than Sub-Q injections because muscle tissue has a greater blood supply than the tissue just under the skin. Muscle tissue can also hold a larger volume of medication than subcutaneous tissue.

Subcutaneous (Sub-Q) is used to deliver a medication into the fat layer between the skin and the muscle. Subcutaneous injections are used to give small amounts and certain kinds of medicine.

Intravenous (IV) is commonly used to administer fluids, medications and nutrients directly into a person's vein. It's the fastest way to deliver medications and fluid replacement throughout the body as they are introduced directly into the circulatory system and thus quickly distributed.

Intradermal (ID) s a shallow or superficial injection of a substance into the dermis to obtain a faster systemic uptake compared with subcutaneous injections.

Πριν από λίγα 24ωρα, η κεντρική αίθουσα του μεγαλύτερου συνεδρίου ογκολογίας (ASCO) σείστηκε από το όρθιο χειροκρότημα των συνέδρων στην παρουσίαση των αποτελεσμάτων της κλινικης δοκιμης ενός νέου φαρμάκου (trastuzumab deruxtucan)....που δείχνει να επιμηκύνει την επιβίωση ασθενων με μεταστατικό καρκίνο του μαστού κατά 6 μήνες (σε σχέση με την κλασική χημειοθεραπεία).

Αυτοί ξέρουν καλά ότι ειναι big thing οι έξι έξτρα μήνες επιβίωσης (αν οντως αποδειχθεί πραγματική)..Το διαβάζω αυτό και δεν μπορω να σβήσω από το μυαλό μου τις φωνές των *μηδενιστών* τα τελευταία δυο χρονια που με περισση ευκολία μας έλεγαν «εντάξει μωρέ, το πολύ να κόψει 1-2 χρονια προσδόκιμου ο ιος σε καποιους ευπαθεις, πως κάνετε έτσι».

First monkeypox case in Scotland detected

4 new cases of monkeypox have been identified in the UK in people who self-identify as gay, bis*xual or other men who have s*x with men. This has led some to suggest monkeypox may have morphed into a Sexually Transmitted disease (STD). I would urge some caution at this stage before concluding that monkeypox may have recently morphed into an STD. Monkeypox is not particularly transmissible and the number of cases to date where the route of transmission is known remains relatively small.What is known is that monkeypox is transmitted between people in close contact through body fluids, respiratory droplets, lesions or even through contaminated materials such as bedding.Most ‘s*xual contact’ qualifies as ‘close contact’. Thus, the recent observation of apparent transmission through s*xual contact in the UK does not necessarily, in itself, imply any recent change in the monkeypox virus’ routes of transmission.The same argument, but including more detail and background information...
