U of R SOCKS - Society Of Crocheting & Knitting Students
SOCKS is a student-run official club at the University of Rochester. We provide students at the univ We currently meet on Saturdays from 1:00 to 3:00.
While knitting and crocheting are often private activities, SOCKS seeks to bring out the social aspects of the crafts by giving students a time and place where they can knit and crochet with other students, learn new skills, work on group projects, and interact with members of the Greater Rochester community in the context of yarncraft. SOCKS Valentine's Day Sale today, tomorrow, and Wednesday!!! Come get adorable Valentine's gifts for people (or yourself- we don't judge). We have LOTS of flowers that will last forever, plus super cute squishy things and plenty of scarves and hats.
Thanks to the success of our recent fundraising ventures we were able to donate $600 to charity :) We gave $200 each to Golisanos Children's hospital, Willow, and REACH. Thank you everyone for your help and support :)

The Class of 2020 is here - NewsCenter A new freshman class of 1,368 students on the River Campus and 140 students at the Eastman School of Music moved into their new homes on Wednesday, as student music groups entertained waiting families and hundreds of student volunteers helped lighten the move-in load.

Finger puppets anyone?
Got wool and a little time? Finger puppet donations sought by IWK On Tuesday, the IWK put out a call for volunteer knitters to help the hospital restock its supply of finger puppets, which are used to comfort children undergoing procedures at the hospital.
