KASANGGA Socio-Political Party of UA&P

The only Socio-Political Party of UA&P that aims to be platform for UA&P students who wish to serve. I, Sect. 1-2). II, Sect. 1-2).

KASANGGA is the new socio-political party in the University of Asia and the Pacific. It is a Filipino term translated as a partner, a comrade, and/or an ally. The name reinforces the idea that the members of this party see themselves as representatives of the student body who will be acting on their behalf once they get elected in office. The members of this party are our kasangga in promoting stu

dents’ rights and welfare, better student body representation in administrative affairs of the University especially in crafting school-wide policies, and the promotion of democratic values (Art. Based on the Party’s Preamble, KASANGGA is established in order to gather train, and support like-minded individuals to run for office in the University Student Government of the University of Asia and the Pacific, targeting to promote deeper political maturity among the members of our academic community, protecting and pursuing their rights and interests, encouraging their involvement in both internal and external affairs of the University in particular and in society in general, imbued with the party’s core values of Kawanggawa (service), Karangalan (integrity), Karunungan (wisdom), Kagitingan (courage), and Kahusayan (excellence). The main thrust of the Party is to offer a support mechanism for select individuals who aspire to serve the University by being a student office in the University Student Government. The Party also aims to serve as a platform for individuals who would want to share their insights on the different affairs involving the university and its members by promoting intellectual discourses within the university (Art. VISION STATEMENT

KASANGGA envisions a socially aware, prosperous political environment in the university with grounded and participative students anchored on the values of solidarity, social equity, political openness, and the pursuit of the common good. Likewise, KASANGGA is an approachable, accountable, and principled political party, serving the students of the university and unleashing their leadership potential through the party’s principles, cohesive membership and socially relevant programs. MISSION STATEMENT

KASANGGA’s mission is to imbue its members the core values of Kawanggawa (service) Karangalan (integrity), Karunungan (wisdom), Kagitingan (courage), and Kahusayan (excellence), in molding its own breed of student leaders for the student body, for the University, and for society, all in the attainment of the Party’s vision. PARTY OBJECTIVES

KASANGGA, as a student political party in the University of Asia and the Pacific, aims to achieve the following objectives:

1. To uphold the level of political consciousness and help create a strong pluralist political system in the University;

2. To advance and institutionalize the Party’s political ideology and philosophy throughout the University community; and,

3. To expand the social and political awareness of students through the Party’s principles.

His assassination in 1983 sparked widespread protests and ultimately led to the People Power Revolution, which ousted Marcos from his dictatorial power and restored Philippine democracy.

Ninoy Aquino’s unwavering courage and commitment to democracy serve as an enduring beacon of hope for Filipinos. �
Let his legacy continue to inspire generations, reminding us of the power of the human spirit to overcome adversity and fight for a just and equitable society.

For 38 years now this moment in Philippine history serves as evidence of the strength and tenacity the united Filipino people have. 🤝 Together, we have a voice that cannot be silenced and a hope that cannot be defeated.
