Walter S. Barr Scholarship For Students In College
Barr Scholarships are also available to students currently attending college. Second and third-year students often require a greater degree of financial assistance than do first-year students. Therefore, the Fund offers scholarships to college students resident in Hampden County (MA) who are graduates of Hampden County secondary schools. Awards will be made on the basis of all available information, including school records, recommendations, and examination scores. Consideration will be given to both the merit and financial need of the applicant.

Again, we would like to thank everyone for donating to the HCSS family in need. We now have the information for Natasha's wake, and we invite everyone to go and support the family one more time. The service will be held tomorrow (Thursday, Feb 11th) from 2-8pm at Henderson Funeral Home (52 Hancock St, Springfield, Massachusetts 01109).

Dear HCSS community,
During Spring Break of 2015, students, parents, and teachers of HCSS will be visiting Haiti. The purpose of this trip is to help and support the people in need; with the focus on orphaned children in Haiti. We are going to visit orphanage houses and distribute school materials, clothes, foods, and other supplies they need. We are planning to purchase school materials, toys, and clothes here in the USA. Since, we are not allowed to bring foods to the Haiti, we need to purchase them in Haiti. We are looking for people, companies, and foundations to support us financially.
