Jeff Bissett Music

I've been coaching L. for about 6 months now. He's doing all the right things, practicing, asking questions, being positive and having fun! We're enjoying working out of Carmine Appice's Rock for Kids, Syncopation and Alfred's Beginning Drum Set Method Book 1.

D. has been a student for about 9 months. We've been working 4 way coordination and strengthening his left side, mainly working on left foot improvement. Stick Control, Syncopation & Appice's Realistic Rock have been the books of choice. D. works hard and knows that practice is key!

S. has only been a student for about 6 months, but is already doing really great, practicing every day and she has a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Just passed the 1 year milestone of being Elton’s drum coach. He retired recently and always wanted to learn how to play. Only 1 year in and shows lots of promise, plus he’s having fun! We work together out of Joel Rothmans R, R & R, Syncopation and an occasional chart from onlinedrummer.com

I have been coaching E. on drum set for about 10 months. He has a ton of natural talent and is just a really nice kid. We’re working instructional books Funky Primer and Syncopation. He just finished his first song, Ticket to Ride and we’re now doing Twist and Shout. It’s fun to be his teacher!

H. and I have been working together since early 2022. It's been a pleasure to have him as a student. He works hard and is driven to do well. He is an accomplished pianist and multi-instrumentalist including trumpet and harmonica. He sings well too! Drums are fun for H. and have helped with his timing and rhythm.

It's been really fun working with T. He has a great sense of humor and enjoys our weekly sessions. Flams and drags are his latest hurdle. We work primarily out of Feldstein & Black's (Alfred's) Drum Method 1.

We ROCK IT!

T. and I have been working on drums since early 22’ She has a great memory and constantly beats me at copycat. Also super creative. We work out of Ted Reed’s Syncopation, Alfred’s Drums for Kids and we’re now trying our first song out, Seven Nation Army.

This first year student may like to goof around at times but his drumming abilities are definitely there. We work together in Ted Reed’s Syncopation, Hal Leonard’s Drums for Kids and Alfred’s Beginning Drum Set Method.

Love working with this new drum student. She has a natural inclination for percussion and I look forward to watching her talents blossom!

I have been working with this student since June. He really loves the drums and has a great attitude! He maintains a practice schedule on his own and is really dedicated. We work out of instructional books Funky Primer and Syncopation currently and he has played along with the songs Eye of the Tiger and Happier.
