We talked about community empowerment through entrepreneurship, building credit and how to get access to capital.

Each panelist gave so much insight and I learned so much from them!

Empowering our community is paramount, and I’m thankful I got the chance to participate in these important conversations. 🙏🏾

It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to travel to Beaverton and visit the campus. Not only did I get to go, but I also was one of the hosts for Nike’s JDI day 🥹

It was an amazing experience to say the least. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to work with a brand I always loved. I met many legends, some who I had posters of in my room as a kid.

Walking in your purpose has got to be one of the hardest yet rewarding things in life. Most times I feel like a failure, other times victorious. It’s like a rollercoaster of emotions. Of course people only see your wins. They don’t see the tears of frustration and sadness, when nothing is moving, nobody is calling you back and all you keep hearing is a new version of “no”.

I watched a video of an interview where this man was taking about losing his wife during a surgery gone wrong. The interviewer said “Faith isn’t Faith until it’s tested” and how true is that statement. This season in my life right now is testing my faith, how bad do I really want it?

This message isn’t for sympathy, it’s to use my experience to help someone else going thru, feeling down and needing encouragement. Keep going, trouble don’t last always. ❤️
