Living on the edge with Houlès… here are 10 beautiful examples of their braids used along the leading edges of drapery. The first three are from their new Asara collection. Also included: their mohair and lambswool range Neva, Leopard, Michael Aiduss and Greco.

Preview time: Next week we’re releasing the gorgeous Asara collection - a new passementerie range from Houlès. Inspired by vintage raffia and rattan handcrafts, Asara conjures up sunny days in the Riviera, chic straw sunhats and stylish Mediterranean seaside houses. Working a cozy vibe this chilly morning with the Highland collection by JAB. Classic felted wool stripes, plaids, plains and textures in a contemporary colour palette. These Highland designs are a mix of wool, polyester and polyamide. Please note this collection is available to our Australian clients only. As an alternative NZ designers check out Andrew Martin’s beautiful Windsor collection.

Last week we featured a number of fil coupé designs in a post and forgot to include these two stunners: Franges and Majesto from Arte’s new Le Couturier collection. Thought I’d share an image from a recent collaboration involving London-based designer Tolù Adẹ̀kọ́ and Zimmer + Rohde. This sumptuous suite at WOW House, Chelsea Design Centre is inspired by the Orient Express and celebrates ZR’s 125 years of design. From the moire walls to the velvet braid and everything in-between (including the fabulous Pavoni leather fire surrounding!) this room is all about opulence and exquisite detailing.

This Thursday the Wellington Design Library is hosting their annual Design Day. It’s always a fabulous event so we’d love to see you there. Throughout the day Rebecca will be showcasing our Winter 2024 releases - 11 new collections from Zimmer + Rohde, Houlès, Arte and many more.

Playing favourites again… Today I asked Kolina, our Sales Service guru, for her pick of our Winter 2024 designs. She settled on Aguayo, the beautiful stripe from Etamine’s Ailleurs collection. To quote Kolina: “It makes me feel like I’m on holiday in Mexico.” That perfectly sums up Aguayo. Handwoven on traditional looms it has a rustic finish with stunning earthy colour combos.
