Justine Lindsay is the NFL's first openly transgender cheerleader, making history when she joined the Carolina Panthers' TopCats squad in 2022. Lindsay, who grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, publicly came out as trans when she announced her selection for the team. She sees her role as a chance to inspire and be a "face of the possible," particularly for young trans individuals who look up to her.

Despite facing challenges, such as receiving negative comments on social media, she has remained focused on her mission to break barriers and inspire others. Lindsay has also received strong support from the Panthers' organization and her teammates. She hopes to continue being a pioneer, especially for the African American and transgender communities.

Youth Activists Release Thousands of Live Crickets at Anti-Trans Conference in London The conference, which hosted opening remarks by J.K. Rowling, was put on by LGB Alliance, a trans exclusionary organization.

Schuyler Bailar is an American athlete, speaker, and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. He is known for being the first openly transgender man to compete in NCAA Division I men’s swimming. Schuyler initially swam on the women’s team at Harvard University, where he had been recruited, but after transitioning, he joined the men’s team, becoming a pioneer for transgender athletes in collegiate sports.

In addition to his athletic achievements, Bailar is a prominent public speaker and educator on issues related to gender identity, mental health, and inclusion. He has shared his story widely to advocate for transgender visibility and acceptance, using his platform to support others in the LGBTQ+ community.

Transgender Wellness Coalition is having a Summit Retreat for Gender Expansive people 18 and up, November 16th and 17th. Day programming on the 16th is available for 50 people. We can accommodate 15 overnight. This event is completely FREE! There will be workshops to attend, as well as fun things to do. Food will be provided.
