Hi everyone,
Welcome to the new year, and hopefully a better one than the last three. It is as though our lives have had a 3 year 'gap' in them.
No doubt many of you are once again on the travel treadmill, and visiting places far and near.
Yesterday was the first day of Autumn and as is the routine of the BBPS Ex-staff retirement group, this is
just a reminder that if you feel like a chat meet at Suffolk Park Hotel this next Monday (March 6) at around 12 noon.
Later notice than usual, but I am sure you have these dates in your calendars but just in case:
Mondays - March 6, June 5, September 4, Dec 4
Unfortunately, Mick and I will not be there this time.

Well, this is good
A teacher gave a balloon to every student, who had to inflate it, write their name on it and throw it in the hallway. The teacher then mixed all the balloons. The students were then given 5 minutes to find their own balloon. Despite a hectic search, no one found their balloon.
At that point, the teacher told the students to take the first balloon that they found and hand it to the person whose name was written on it. Within 5 minutes, everyone had their own balloon.
The teacher said to the students: "These balloons are like happiness. We will never find it if everyone is looking for their own. But if we care about other people's happiness, we'll find ours too."

It feels as though the past 3 years have been a vacuum with COVID and the floods.
