Fine Antique and Estate Jewelry
Playfully glamming it up with both fine and costume jewelry is something Coco Chanel loved to do, and so far there's no law saying we can't do it too! For unique vintage pieces like the sick ring I'm wearing here, head to www.cmarhev.com or www.etsy.com/shop/MarhevCo . (Also, check the shiny dancewear top designed and handcrafted by my brilliant designer friend Stacy Williams for her line, theaesthetik.com , layered under a beautiful dress my boyfriend bought me in LA. :)

About Us
Hi, I'm Courtney Bowers Marhev, your friendly neighborhood jewelry geek!
A bit about my me: Beyond the academic endeavors listed on my "Research and Publications" page, I have had years of experience in different “facets” of the jewelry and antiques industries. In New York, I worked coordinating shipments from auction houses for an art & antiques logistics company, facilitated sales for private jewelry dealers at an upstairs office in Rockefeller Center, managed the SoHo studio for the president of a successful art jewelry start-up company, worked with clients at an upscale antique jewelry boutique in the Carlyle Hotel, and as a photographer and researcher for antique dealers. Meanwhile, I earned my Master's degree in the History of Decorative Arts and Design from Parsons/ The New School at the Cooper-Hewitt Museum, and published articles on topics which practically fell into my lap. When I first started working in New York's Diamond District, I met a talented bench jeweler from Poland who would end up becoming a Master of his craft, and my husband. Through the years of witnessing Arthur create elite-quality jewelry, and of dealing with workshops, stone dealers, casting houses, lapidaries, and everything else, I gained a familiarity with the ins-and-outs of jewelry manufacture. I ended up managing the office of our wholesale workshop on 47th Street, which crafted custom fine jewelry for private dealers. Although the business was successful and we loved New York, Arthur received a great opportunity in my hometown of San Antonio, where we are now happy to reside. I am excited to now offer my connections and expertise to this gracious market.
If you are looking for a piece of vintage or antique jewelry, or perhaps a certain type of stone, setting, or watch, I can source it for you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
