I love this store! Lots of handmade products as well as my own.
Guess what makes these cute lil’ lavender dream pillows created by textile artist Sally at Smelly Drawers-Handmade Homewares super-duper special?
Sally doesn’t just design + create them, she actually grows the lavender on her own farm!
Each and every fragrant bud is handpicked and dried by her!
Pretty cool right?
And they help you to chillax and help you get a restful night sleep!!
I’ll be here at my little 🌈 shop until 3.30pm today, so come by, grab one or a few so you’re ready for tonight when it’s time to unwind!!

I love Cheryle’s art work. It inspires me!
Still spaces
This little 25 x25cm owl feels complete.
Owl sits in the branches watching the world in this sanctuary space in nature.
Owls for me are symbols of resilience and the ability to look at the world from different perspectives. For me they are about wellbeing and finding our balance as we choose to rest in the moment. That space of pause and connection that feeds the soul.
They teach us to pivot and find our balance in the mindful moments and then surprise us with the unexpected.
This piece is one of my new series…I am still deciding on a title but am thinking “Windows into Whimsy”. It feels like it fits these small uplifting stories of owl wisdom and connection. What do you think?
Well said!
So very true, I love this ❤❤

On a recent walk through Glenfern NP I came upon this sign. I'm not sure if we have any in the park but it inspired me to create a owl wall hanging. I could feel the bushland energy about me thats for sure!
A little bit of magical protection as you go about your day.

Who’s in?! 😘 Let’s talk about your favorite books in the comment section below! 📚
It's that time of year everybody dreads! I'll be knee deep in receipts for a few weeks as I help out a friend in her book keeping business. She has a couple of old school tradies that have shoe box accounting systems! 🤣
You have to laugh cause its actually a archive box! But I don't mind cause it pays for Mr Handsome's winter feed.
It's been a busy & hectic couple of weeks that hasn't let me get back into my sewing room as often as I want. It took a quite a few days to come down from the Witch Market. It was a great event organised by Priestess. The energy in the town hall was amazing & I enjoyed meeting like minded people. Big thank you to those of you who bought cushions & wall hangings. It was greatly appreciated by me & it went a long way to keep my business a float during these times.
This is why I love been part of this store!
OMGODDESS! That looks absolutely fantastic! I hope it’s real! Off to Google I go!

Animals no matter what their species, they are full of wisdom, strength & resilience. Intuitively, instinctively & trusting in that.
If I call you a 'cow' it is a good thing!
For as long as I can remember, I have been obsessed with Scottish Highland Cows.
I have the teddy cows, the photos, the artwork, and the jewellery, and I get gifted everything Highland Cow related. I receive a constant stream of pictures from friends when traveling. I love the love!
Why Highland cows specifically?
This shaggy, majestic beast with a thick coat that laughs in the face of fierce storms and freezing temperatures inspires me.
Their resilience and survival are in their most fabulous form!
These incredible creatures thrive in the harshest of climates, embodying a steadfast spirit that screams, "Bring it on!" Their survival is not just a tale of toughness but a living testament to resilience.
And those long, curved horns?
They're more than just survival tools. They're like the superhero gadgets that remind us we have the power to smash through any obstacles life throws our way.
It's a bold symbol of our own inner strength and potential to overcome adversity.
Even when the weather gets tough, the Highland Cow remains calm and collected.
Their placid demeanour is like a masterclass in peace and acceptance, no matter how harsh the conditions get. They're basically saying, "Chill, you've got this!"
For me, Highland Cows are a spiritual powerhouse, reminding us to stay resilient, stand firm, and adapt to life's storms.
They're like our spiritual cheerleaders, encouraging us to tap into our inherent strength and survival instincts whenever adversity rears its head.
Next time you face a challenge, channel your inner Highland Cow.
Stand tall, be resilient, and remember: you've got the strength to break through any obstacle.
Keep thriving, no matter what!
It was a great event indeed!

My Story
My name is Sally, I’ve always had a passion for creating & sewing. On my journey, I discovered the desire to make products that are handmade & made from different textiles usually up-cycled fabrics, linens, clothing & material of sentimental value.
This passion for using up-cycled textiles has become my business. I love to see what can be created & made after the textile’s original use is over. This vision is fueled by the incredible amount of material & clothing that finds its way into landfill contributing greatly to the land desecration of Mother Earth.
Another element of my business is to create Dream Catcher cushions & Mandala wall hangings. The inspiration for this comes from my fascination with the Orb Spider & the Legend of the Spider-Woman-a Native American belief. We have many Orb spiders in Australia, their webs are unique & individual each time they weave them. My web designs are based on the art pieces of the Orb spiders in my garden that appear during the summer.
You can see my inspirations & creations in my Albums.
