Integrated Periodontics & Dental Implants is in search of a full time surgical dental assistant. We are a referral based practice utilizing electronic records and are looking for a friendly, motivated, team player who possesses a radiology certificate, computer skills (we use Open Dental) and strong organizational skills. We are willing to train the right candidate, even if you do not have prior surgical experience. We have offices in Fox Chapel (RIDC Park) and Warrendale. Experience in endodontics is an added bonus, as we do have an endodontist at our Warrendale location. Did you know our practice offers root canals out of the Warrendale office?! Dr. Nestor, our endodontist, lectured to a great group of dentists this week on the innovative GentleWave procedure. This procedure allows for less pain and higher success in root canal therapy. Dr. Nestor has been providing this cutting edge treatment since joining our practice and is one of the only endodontists in the area trained to provide it!

This past week we hosted a wonderful evening of learning and camaraderie. Our own Dr. Nestor Foronda, an endodontist, lectured to a group of area dentists on the procedure. The is an innovative approach to endodontic therapy that allows for better cleaning inside the tooth and less tooth structure removal, leading to LESS PAIN and BETTER ROOT CANAL SUCCESS. Today we celebrated our finance manager’s birthday! Mary defies her age so well! She always decorates and gets the cake for everyone else’s birthday to make them feel special on their day. Today was her day! 🎉 🎂 🥳

We’re learning about antibiotic stewardship from Dr. Debra Goff, of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Considered an expert in the field, Dr. Goff has worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) in establishing antibiotic stewardship programs. She has us rethinking how and when antibiotics should be prescribed to our patients based on current medical and dental literature.

Each of our five Integrated doctors trained at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine for their dental school education and/or residency/specialty training. We would like to wish our alma mater best of luck today!!
