I'm so excited to serve on this panel with these amazing women next week as part of the the Jazz Congress discussion!

On January 11th, our President & CEO Vanessa Reed, will be leading a panel at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Jazz Congress titled, "The Vital Role of Apprenticeship and Mentorship for a More Inclusive Jazz Future." This panel was curated by New Music USA.

We are thrilled to collaborate with leading jazz artists and educators on this panel: Tatiana Ladymay Mayfield, a 2023 Next Jazz Legacy Awardee, Mayfield's Next Jazz Legacy mentor, harpist Brandee Younger, Sara Serpa, artist and co-founder of Mutual Mentorship for Musicians - M³, and Aja Burrell Wood, Managing Director of the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice; Ethnomusicologist, Curator and Violinist.
