Salida Water Park, Colorado
A little sample of what our River Park may be like. This is Salida Water Park in Colorado. This Whitewater Park is comprised of 4 engineered whitewater features, constructed out of rock and concrete, that create whitewater features for surfing kayaks, Paddleboards, surfboards and body boards. The Whitewater Park also includes riverside trails and bank improvements to allow people to wander along the river or dip their toes in the Arkansas River. The Whitewater Park allows access to the City’s most precious resource for a variety of users and during the summer months creates a Rocky Mountain beach scene, 7000’ above sea level. The whitewater park in Salida, Colorado runs right through the historic downtown. Here, visitors will find retail shopping, art galleries, riverside dining options, the river trail, and access to a historic boutique hotel. Climbing rocks and a park area are also available. Live bands are a popular attraction at The Riverside Park, an outdoor entertainment venue. Does that sound familiar? Probably, that's because we are a lot like Salida. We are not recreating the wheel just adding a spoke of the outdoor adventure industry to Cumberland. #alleganycountyMD #riverparkatcanalplace #outdoorsinmountainMD #staytuned JOIN US FOR A PUBLIC MEETING ABOUT THE RIVER PARK AT CANAL PLACE ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6TH AT 6PM IN THE ALLEGANY MUSEUM.
