It's a beautiful snow day! If you have a heat pump be sure to clear away snow and debris from around your outdoor unit.
It is a great day to change your filter too.

During 2023 Robby Kennon made the choice to take Kennon Mechanical Services LLC is a different direction. Robby decided his focus will be more on his overall health and integrity, rather than growing his business. We will now operate Kennon Mechanical as a small part-time service company. Our hope is family, friends, and clients will choose to still call on him for their HVAC, plumbing, and electrical needs. He accepted a full-time job, working for the company that oversees the management of the community in which we live in. Please understand that Robby took a lot of time to make this decision. He has found that it is a really great choice for him and our family. We hope that our family, friends, and clients understand that Robby is still here when you need him, when not working at his full-time job, or during a family event. You can still reach him via text, or by messaging here.
We thank you for your continued support, understanding, and faith in Kennon Mechanical Services LLC
Much love, joy, and happiness to you all in the New Year.
Robby, Lorelei, and Family

Here is your Fall moving into Winter reminders.
With the current temperatures TURN OFF YOUR HOSE OUTSIDE BIBS!!! Inside you should have a shut off valve for each one, back and front. Turn them off, then open them up outside to drain. You do not want them to freeze with water in them, it is a big mess and an expensive, yet preventable repair.
Also, if you haven't done it yet move that HVAC damper from Summer to Winter, heat rises, this will help keep the lower levels of your home warmer a bit longer. This will also help those lower-level pipes too.

We know we haven't posted in a while, we taking one day at a time. We hope you all are still changing your filters faithfully, spraying off and clearing away debris from around your outdoor unit. Don't forget to make sure your outside drains are clear. Preventative Maintenace such as a water heater draining to clear out the sediment every couple years, having your HVAC system fully serviced at least once a year, going through checking your pipes to ensure they have pin holes or leaks, and change out the guts of your toilets if you find your toilets are running too long, can save you a lot of money over time.
If Robby can help in any way, please let us know.
Thank you all for your continued support of Kennon Mechanical Services.

We are so sorry to ask, but once again we ask for your grace and patience as we may need to reschedule some clients. Robby and Lorelei spent yesterday evening at Fairfax hospital with Robby's father. We ask for your understanding as Robby wants to be available to assist with the upcoming and unknown at this point recovery of his father from a stroke.
We understand we have put many of you on hold multiple times over the past few years during the passing of Robby's step father, mother, multiple injuries and illness. As a one man show Robby truly does try to help all those he can. Thank you once again for your understanding and grace.

Have you changed your air filter lately? An HVAC system will not work properly with a dirty filter. A good way to judge if your filter needs replacing is if it is covered in dust and air can no longer flow. It is best to change your air filter every 2 months.

The youngest Kennon just completed his 5th grade promotion, as a Pattie Legend, and is moving on to middle school! Kyle was a Pattie Panther long before he started started Kindergarten over at little Pattie. Once a Pattie Panther always a Pattie Panther, we are Strong because of all those at Pattie! Thank you to all the teachers and staff who has loved the Kennon Family over the past 13 years!! We love you all!!!

Yesterday we are celebrated our son TROY, with his 8th grade promotion drive thru! He will be heading to high school in the fall! We are very proud of him as he has worked through so many challenges over the years. This year presented with extra challenges as he went to school virtually all year, and was responsible for learning more on his own. We love his gentle nature and passion for the things he loves. Congratulations to our boy who loves so big!

Different isn't bad, different isn't good, different is just different, and if we were all the same we would live in a very boring world.

Kennon Mechanical Services will be closed this weekend as we celebrate our daughter’s high school graduation! Thank you for your understanding.

From Kindergarten to today you have always been so very independent, mature (most of the time), sassy, fun, and driven! We are so proud of you our first born Alexis Kennon! She completed 2 years of JROTC. She has been a Girl Scout for 13 years, completing both her silver award and silver trefoil award. Just the day before yesterday she was named to the first team all district defense ladies lacrosse player for Prince William County Schools. She has performed a couple hundred volunteer hours through all her endeavors. She has been accepted to Felician University in Rutherford, NJ with a lacrosse and academic scholarship, pursuing a teaching degree in special education as her major and a minor in English.
Congratulations Alexis on your graduation from Forest Park High School! You have had ups and downs and learned many lessons along the way, we love you so much for who you are and the values you hold to in your life. Keep chasing your dreams, being you, and “make good choices for you”. We love you!

Client had us remove a microwave and install a exhaust fan and a simple backsplash. Took care of a few other details, they are now ready to go on the market.

We changed ours today, did you? Time to turn on your outdoor hose bibs, make sure they aren't leaking, hook up a hose with spray nozzle and spray winter off your outdoor unit too.

Just a little PSA (click on this graphic to open all the way) as Robby has been out on a number of garbage disposal calls lately. Do you know what you can and can not put into your garbage disposal? This graphic below will give you a guideline. It is always best to keep a drain strainer in your drain, empty it in the trash rather than running your disposal. If you have more than a half cup of food toss it into your trash rather than into your disposal.
Robby loves helping you all out, but feels bad when he has to tell you you have fried your motor when cleaning out a pound of cooked pasta out of your disposal, and now it needs to be replaced. Not every call ends up in a replacement, you know he likes to fix rather than replace anything, but sometimes nothing can be done to save it.
We hope this little PSA helps you get the longest life out of your disposal as possible.

Just a friendly reminder, change your filter every 30-60 days.
