• This we’re celebrating Black history and demanding an end to the increasing efforts to erase it. The only way we can create a more just and equitable country is by reckoning with the legacy of racism and slavery together.
• Jia Sarnicola and Zuri Copeland, both 4 years old, of Miami, FL, are inseparable and share a very special bond.
+
Jia’s mom, Ashley Riggs Sarnicola, shared a recent moment from a friend’s birthday party.
+
“They were at a party for a mutual friend, waiting in line to get their faces painted,” Ashley recounted. “[Jia] was telling a girl’s older sister they were twins, and the girl gave her an odd look and said, ‘You’re not twins.’’’
+
“My little girl started bawling and crying because she truly believes she and Zuri are twins.”
+
“You don’t know anything because we have the same birthday and the same soul,” Jia responded angrily right away.
+
The girls’ birthdays are two days apart but they celebrate them together.
+
“When she said that, it took me aback. It was so sweet,” Ashley commented.

That is what inspired the young man to found a nonprofit named Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service. Through his organization, Rodney and his volunteers assist seniors, disabled people, single parents, and veterans with their lawn care needs.
+
His passion led to the creation of the ‘50 Yard Challenge.’ He challenged young kids nationwide to mow 50 lawns in their communities. So far, over 2,000 kids have registered for this inspiring initiative across the US.
+
His commitment to giving back led Rodney to personally mow several lawns for free in each of the 50 states.

Facts
• Research shows that we wildly underestimate how much a compliment can affect another person. And we hold ourselves back from sharing kind words, afraid that we won’t do a good enough job or it will be awkward. Know this: your kindness has the power to truly transform another person’s day. Being generous with your compliments is one of the simplest ways to help other people to be happy — and it’s a choice that makes you happy, too.

It could all be so simple
I felt this
A school in Dallas put out a call for stand-ins to attend a breakfast for young boys, many of whom didn’t have father figures of their own. They thought a few dozen people would come.
More than 600 dads showed up.
