In the realm of martial arts, the significance of belt colors has been a topic of much debate and interest. However, it's crucial to remember that the journey of a martial artist transcends the mere display of colored belts. Long ago, the concept of colored belts was non-existent. A martial artist began their journey with a single white belt, symbolizing the start of their path.

As they dedicated years to rigorous training, their belt bore the marks of their hard work and commitment. Over time, the white fabric transformed, darkening with each drop of sweat and effort. This natural progression reflected the student's growth and experience, untainted by the need for external validation or rank.

The most senior students, those who had truly immersed themselves in the art, sported belts that had aged into a dark hue, akin to black. This color wasn't just a representation of their skill level; it was a testament to their journey, resilience, and the wisdom they had gathered along the way.

In today's world, where martial arts are structured with various colored belts, it's essential to remember that the essence of martial arts is not in the color one wears around their waist. A black belt is not merely a possession or a symbol of authority; it is a state of being. It embodies a mindset, a way of life that is committed to continuous learning, humility, and respect.

Being a black belt isn't about having a particular color; it's about embodying the principles and values of martial arts every day. It's a reminder that the journey is endless, that there is always room for improvement, and that the true reward lies in the journey itself, not in the destination.

So, as we tie our belts, regardless of their color, let us remember the rich history and the profound symbolism behind them. Let’s honor the legacy of those who trained before us, embracing the true spirit of martial arts — a journey of personal growth, discipline, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

• YOUR TEACHER / INSTRUCTOR / MASTER - IS NOT YOUR "BROTHER" •

Respect is the foundation of any relationship.

If you practice martial arts, or think about doing it, always be respectful to the teacher or the Master..

The "majority" did not get to the title of teaching someone without discipline, a lot of dedication, effort and respect.

As much as you hang out with him every day, or lived with him before he became a martial arts teacher, respect what he has become and what he stands for.

NO HE NOT YOUR "BROTHER", HIS BRO, HIS COLLEAGUE, HIS PARTNER, OR YOUR "MASTER"!

He is a professional, who should be treated with all due respect for the title and the profession he holds.

Regardless of the jokes in classes, online groups lists and in the classes itself!

They strive to pass on knowledge, which few can access and few sacrifice to acquire.

RESPECT because it gives you alot!

"As long as we persevere and endure, we can get anything we want."
-Mike Tyson

These words cannot have gotten more true today... Arpisha Desai, from Raheja Dojo received her black belt today after 9+ years of hardwork and undettering spirit. Turning every failure into a stepping stone and every loss into a learning, this girl has come a long way in the art of learning karate. Good things indeed do come for people who wait! Despite many ups and downs and drawbacks during the lockdown and other unforeseen circumstances, she chose to make a comeback with the same grit and determination.
Also, heartiest congratulations and respect to her parents who stood by her throughout her journey and were just as much a part of it as she was.
Last but not the least, here is to the seniors who trained by her and with her for this momentous day!

Immense gratitude to Khyoshi B.H. Chaudhary

Let this be a beginning for something bigger...Hoping to see more such achievements and joyous moments in the journey that she shall be embarking on beyond.

Talent, dedication, hard work and discipline make a deadly combination...
Presenting to you, the 32nd All India Kubota Cup Karate Championship organised by the International Gosoku-ryu Karate Association under the expert guidance of Hanshi B.H. Chaudhary.
The tournament had three events in total- Individual Kata, Gosoku-ryu kata and Kumite. The kata stands for shadow fight which is a detailed display of bodily movements. The Kumite event is a one- on- one fight wherein participants face each other heads on.
The tournament shows how even a single day's ordeal requires prior practice. We started practicing for the same a month ago. All the gold medalists of the Gosoku-ryu kata event came together to compete for the grand Championship (Kubota Cup).
In this event, Samraat Shrivastava from Tilak Nagar dojo won the cup in his age category thus paving a way for many more to come in the future. It was indeed a proud moment for all of us as he was the very first from Tilak nagar. But we did not stop at one and went on to win two more trophies by Jeeva Arjunan and Sharnam Kamble from Cheddanagar dojo.
A total of 27 students participated in the tournament and our medal tally stands at 56 (21 gold, 24 silver and 11 bronze).

It is in fact true that "Champions don't always show up to get everything they want, they show up to give everything they have."
The tournament is not all about medals, trophies and certificates but gives beautiful life lessons like sportsmanship, teamspirit, oneness and discipline.

We extend a special thanks to:
Sensei Hemant
Sensei Vinay
Sensei Anand
Sensei Chaitanya

Yoga doesn't deal with the physical wellness alone but it also has a great influence over the mental and spiritual wellness. Practicing yoga after a long tiring day can help in stimulating the mind, body, and soul as it helps in keeping the body relaxed and in relieving the everyday stress.

Twenty minutes of daily yoga can totally help you improve flexibility. However, short yoga sessions, think 15-20 minutes a day, may or may not be so effective if you're trying to lose weight, build strength, and improve endurance.

⚠ Beware of our children! 👇

1: Warn your daughter or son not to sit on anyone's lap, no matter the situation, including uncles.

2: Avoid dressing in front of your children from the age of 2.

3. Never allow an adult to refer to your child as "my wife" or "my husband"

4. Whenever your child goes out to play with his friends, be sure to find a way to find out what type of game he plays, because young people abuse themselves sexually. And this is not new...

5. Never have your child visit an adult with whom he is not comfortable, and also consider whether your child becomes a big fan of a particular adult.

6. Once, a very cheerful child suddenly becomes shy. You may need to be patient and cautious, as well as clear up a few questions about why you are behaving.

7. Educate carefully about the correct values of sexuality. If you don't, society will teach you the wrong values.

8: It is always advisable to review any new material, such as cartoons you just bought from them, before you start watching them.

9. Make sure to enable parental controls on your cable networks and advise your friends, especially your children's. Visit frequently.

10. Teach your children from 3 years to wash their private parts well and warn them never to allow anyone to touch them (remember, caring begins at home and with you).

11: Keep away any associated materials that you think could endanger your child's mental health (this includes music, movies, and even friends and family).

12: Once your child complains about a particular person, don't keep quiet.
Remember, we are the parents who raise future parents.

And remember: "Pain lasts a lifetime."

GREATNESS OF TULASI
(from Padma Purana)
Everything of the Tulasi plant, leaves, flowers, fruits, roots, twigs, skin and even the soil around is holy. The soul of a dead one whose dead body is cremated using Tulasi twigs for firewood would attain a permanent place in Visnuloka. Even great sinners would be absolved of their sins if their dead bodies are cremated with Tulasi twigs. If at the time of death one thinks of God and utters His name and if his dead body is later cremated with Tulasi twigs, he would have no rebirths. Even he who has done a crore of sins would attain moksa if at the time of cremating his dead body a piece of Tulasi twig is placed at the bottom of the funeral pyre. Just as all waters become pure by the union with Ganga water, all firewood is made pure by the addition of a small piece of Tulasi twig. If the dead body of one is cremated using Tulasi twigs alone, one's sins for a crore of kalpa years would be washed away. Yamadutas would keep away from one whose dead body is cremated with Tulasi twigs and servants of Visnu would come near. If a light is burnt for Visnu with a Tulasi stick it would be equal to burning several lakhs of lights for Visnu. If one makes the Tulasi leaves into a paste and smears it on one's body and then worships Visnu for one day, one would be getting the benefit of a hundred ordinary worships and also the benefit of doing a hundred go-danas.

(Chapter 24, Padma Purana).

Benefits of waking up early
In Hindu religion, there is a specific time to do everything. According to Hindu religion, waking up in Brahamuhurat (early morning) is very beneficial.
The rishis and sage of India have explained the auspicious significance of waking up at this time. According to them, this is best time to get up from sleep. Getting up in Brahamuhurat, one receives divine beauty, strength, knowledge, wisdom and good health. The final or last phase of night is known as Brahamuhurat. There is a scientific benefits given out by our scholars of waking up at this time. Scientific research has determined that in Brahamuhurat, our atmosphere is pollution free. At this time, the oxygen level in the atmosphere is most (41%), which is important for the purification of the lungs. The purifying air keeps the mind healthy. According to Ayurveda, walking in this hour infuses power in people’s body. This time is good for studies as well. The doors of temples too are opened at this time. How to Calculate Brahma Muhurta
The period of 1 hour 36 minutes before sunrise is called the Brahma Muhurta. You will have to subtract this period from the time of your local sunrise to find out the actual Brahma Muhurta. For example, if the sun rises at 6 am, 4.24 am to 6 am is the Brahma Muhurta. The exact time will differ in different seasons too.
Getting up late makes us lazy and dull. We perform better when our body clock is aligned with nature's clock. Early morning positivity keeps us charged the entire day. Meditating in the morning is also easier, as there is no mental disturbance caused due to the vibrations of other people.
Brahma Muhurta and its Significance in Meditation and Health
Ayurveda has always propagated the importance of early morning rituals. During this time, our mind and body is relaxed after a good night's sleep. Even the environment is peaceful and unpolluted. Hence, Brahma Muhurta (an hour and half before sunrise) is the best time to practice yoga or meditation.

"No Ganges water can purify you except your breath through techniques" ~Sri Swarupananda Brahmachari

"Breath in deep and fill yourself with and fresh and pure air and assert your unity with infinite energy of the whole Universe. Breath out slowly taking as much time as you take to breath in. Over time when this practice becomes automatic, your ordinary breath will never be upset by physical or mental conditions, but it will transform itself into a powerful, musical and rhythmical life movement. It also creates a composed condition of body and mind ~The Voice of Babaji

Kapala bhati and bellows breathing are very powerful pranayamas interms of purifying the blood. But to make kapala bhati more powerful we have to use the method of double inhalation and double exhalation. When inhaling always do mulabandha, and when exhaling always release mulabandha.

This pratice will provide the cells with more oxygen and it will recharge the body with more energy. The air that we breath is electric and pure, the air is the pure and undefiled spirit

Inorder to purify the left and right channel(nadi) we have to do the one nostril kriya breathing on both nostrils. When inhaling mentally chant "Va" and when exhaling chant "Shi" there must be no pause between in breath and out breath(it must be the same as bellows breathing). When you pratice in this manner for a long time u will feel a little vibrating energy in your hands Om Namah Shivaya

Om Kriya Babaji Namah Aum🙏🌺

Parijata Tree – The Story of How the tree of Heaven Reached Earth
As per Hindu Tradition, Parijata Tree appeared during the Samudra Manthan or Churning of Ocean. The tree was carried to heaven by Indra. It was Sri Krishna who brought the tree from heaven to earth.
There are a couple of popular legends associated with Parijata was brought to earth. The most famous and widely accepted story is that of Sri Krishna bringing it to earth.
After defeating Narakasura, Sri Krishna and his wife, Sathyabhama, went to heaven to return umbrella and earrings of Aditi, the mother of Indra. Narakasura had forcefully taken them away.
While returning, Sathyabhama asked Sri Krishna for a Parijata Tree to be planted in her garden. Sri Krishna immediately uprooted a Parijata Tree and carried it to Dwarka.
The act of uprooting the divine tree angered Indra. Blinded by anger and ego, Indra stopped Sri Krishna. A war ensued and the foolish Devas and their King Indra was easily overpowered by Sri Krishna.
When Parijata Tree was brought to Dwarka, Rukmini, another wife of Sri Krishna, wanted the flowers of it. To avoid a domestic strife, Sri Krishna thought of a plan. Sri Krishna planted the tree in such a way that the tree was in the garden of Sathyabhama and the flowers from it fell in the garden of Rukmini.

Why to wake up early in the morning?
In our early ages our parents asked to wake up early saying its good time for studies. In every school of yoga or meditation they say that the idle time for doing mediation is early morning 4am to 6am. But why? First lets explore some of the more common and logical reasons…
Our elders used to give vague answers saying it is “Brahma Muhurtam” or we are fresh after a sleep and the world around us is peaceful and calm. While everything would have its own merit but if we create a very calm, noiseless environment and if we are fresh, can we do meditation all the time with equal efficiency? The answer to this question is NO, we cannot do mediation with equal efficiency at all the time. But can someone answer why? The other question which needs to be answered is why “Brahma Muhurtam” so special that it is the most recommended time slot for meditative practices.
Early morning is called Brahma Muhurtham (Time of Divine), referring to the fact that it has sacred energies for the worship of the Brahman inside you. Brahman here refers to the God-immanent in every being. Muhurtam is a unit of measurement for time in the Indian calendar. A Muhurtam equals 2 Ghadiyas or 48 minutes. Thirty Muhurtams constitute a day and night. Brahma Muhurtham starts 96 minutes before sunrise. It lasts for 48 minutes. Brahma Muhurtam ends 48 minutes before sunrise.
Meditation is a coherent flow of energy and is disturbed by the external atmosphere and other people’s vibrations and thought forms. These things do not affect the meditator during Brahma Muhurtham. At that time, all the people are in deep sleep and nobody will disturb you. The atmosphere is sacred because the vibrations of mind involved in world matters are not emitted from the people since they are in deep sleep. Mind is also a form of energy. Mind disappears in deep sleep. The atmosphere is not polluted by the radiations of worldly feelings. At that time devotees awake and pray God. Their pure mental rays pervade all over the world and make the time sacred. Thus it becomes congenial and encouraging atmosphere.
After sunrise people awake and the materialistic mental radiations are emitted through their physical senses. The atmosphere is polluted. People will disturb you dragging you to materialistic discussions. Even by seeing face, you will be effected. If you see a devotee, you become sacred. The mind and body are inter-related. Since mind is energy and energy is matter, even if you see the body, the mind in that body is emitted out effecting you. Therefore, avoid even the vision of materialistic people, not to say about their touch, conversation and co-living.
After sunrise when we worship God or meditate on the Divine in us, close our eyes to avoid others. But, their mental radiations spread all over the cosmos and are inevitable. It is better to walk in the morning while singing devotional songs. Morning walk is good for health. Apart from this, the mind desires dynamic condition of the body. The body was in static condition all over the night. Mind is always for a change. Satisfy the mind and you should not unnecessarily control the mind when it is not necessary. We will more reasons relevant to our breath tomorrow.
