In a time of constant motion and haste,
People these days seem forever misplaced.
Always judging, their eyes filled with disdain,
Rushing through life, leaving kindness in the rain.

Their jokes hold a sting, laced with sarcasm's bite,
Hurting others with laughter, the disguise of their spite.
Blaming and pointing fingers, never taking the blame,
Assumptions spread like wildfire, tarnishing every name.

And in the midst of chaos, voices start to rise,
Yelling so loudly, they drown out silent cries.
When did it all become this way, we ponder,
This cycle of judgment, hurting, and yonder?

A time when patience was a virtue, not a myth,
When kindness and empathy bridged the rift.
A moment when words were used with care,
To uplift, to inspire, to show others we care.

But somewhere along the path, we seemed to lose,
The essence of connection, the power to diffuse,
The pain and the sorrow that plagues our souls,
Replacing it with assumptions that constantly roll.

When did it all change, this tapestry of life,
Where understanding and compassion were rife?
Perhaps it was the rush, the never-ending race,
That left us disconnected, longing for grace.

Or maybe it was fear that twisted our hearts,
Keeping us guarded, tearing us apart.
In a world driven by ego, self-righteousness, and pride,
We forgot how to listen, to stand side by side.

Yet even in the chaos, hope still remains,
In the seeds of love sown amidst the plains.
For within each one of us, a fire burns bright,
Yearning for understanding, craving the light.

So let us break these chains, these cycles of disdain,
And rediscover the empathy that once did reign.
In slowing down, in listening with intent,
We'll find the answers to the question we lament.

When did it all become this way, we ask,
The judging, rushing, hurting, and bask?
It's in our hands, in our choices to change,
To heal the wounds and rewrite this range.

Let kindness guide us, as we journey ahead,
With open hearts and minds, no longer mislead.
For in unity and compassion, we'll find our way,
To a world filled with love, where judgment won't sway
