For the headphones I've designed (and finished), I ordered these speakers in May, still not shipped. Maybe I'm too patient or naive or I got scammed, but they're reputable and I've had good experiences with them prior to this.

China's economy isn't doing well and these guys lost a materials supplier. They make the best dynamic drivers I've ever heard and for a not-insane price. I'm conflicted on whether or not I should cancel and buy a half count of local drivers twice the price for 2/3 the quality, and subsequently re-tune the enclosure. 5 months for these are... a bit too long.

I really have poured everything into this project and this is the part that kinda freaks me out. Also, the consumer-facing headphone speaker market is almost nonexistent and filled with sketchy listings. Ideally I'd travel to China and make a deal, but I'm not capable of that right now.

For the few of you who have shown interest in what I'm doing, thank you. You keep me motivated to make this happen. You won't be disappointed!

Almost out of the design phase for the headphone (pic is still a bit dated). Tackling manufacturing challenges and always making progress. Working nearly every free hour of every day for almost half a year now.

I'll admit this is a larger task than I expected and I haven't even reached the marketing and sales side yet. Expensive too even just in testing, so that's been a constraining factor as well and somewhat changes my plans for release.

These currently sound far better than I initially intended for them to sound. I've realized a new standard for what I want the product to be sound-wise and I'm sticking to it. Learning so much all the time about many different aspects of this process. I'll be happy to document it once this thing finally makes it into your hands.
