I made the best baked beans I've ever tasted, so good.
I made them in my slow cooker, the ribs were madi in my pressure cooker as well as the potatoes. So good.

I have some maple glaze gourmet nuts that are a bit over cooked. Not burnt but strong. So I melted some dark chocolate and stirred the nuts in. I haven't had one yet, but I'm hopeful.

Our house is finally in the mid 70's. It took 24 hours to get there. It was close to 90 degrees for over a week. I feel so mich better and can hopefully sleep tonight and make English Muffin early tomorrow morning.

Our portable air conditioner came today and my husband hooked it up. I can feel the 86 degrees in my home dropping. It is going in the basement tomorrow so I can work better down there. I am so happy.

I am sorry I will not be at our farmers market tomorrow. I've had a rough week with many problems and the last one that broke me was our whole home air conditioner system died. It's 84 degrees in our home. I'm hoping some relief will come next week.

My cold coffee brew again. I had some honey and cinnamon left from earlier in the year when I was sick. I used it for my cough. So I decided to use it in my cold coffee brew instead of brown sugar and cinnamon. I like the honey taste better. I'm going to make some almond milk this weekend and try that as well. I dropped off fresh English Muffins at Richardson's Farms this morning.

I made a beautiful meal for dinner tonight. It took me 2 hours, but I like to take my time and enjoy what I'm doing. It is chicken parmesan, tomato salad with balsamic dressing, and some bacon wrapped dates. I could only eat 1/2 of my chicken parm. I had 2 chicken breasts, so I have 2 more for another meal. It was so good tasting.

I will not be at the farmers market this Saturday. I have some kitchen equipment that needs tending to

I don't go out much and so I've never had an iced coffee. I did some research and came up with a recipe to make my own. I bought a strainer from Mason Jar Lifestyle for a half gallon jar. I freshly grind my whole coffee beans and I add half to my strainer, I add my homemade brown sugar and my Vietnamese cinnamon and the other half of my ground coffee. I add spring water and shake it lightly and let it "brew" in my fridge for a couple of days before I pour over ice and add it to my coffee and ice cubes and a tablespoon of local heavy cream I bought at Richardson's Farms in Lafayette. I reduced the amount of sugar because I'm not a van of sweet drinks. I have a couple of these a week. I'm very happy how this turned out. I'm going to try adding other flavors.

This is my first batch of Fire Cider. Just a little bit didn't fit in this jar so I added a little water and drank it down. I have to get more ingredients to make another batch for the winter.

I will be at the farmers market today, but not with all that I make. I had a bit of an accident on Thursday and now one of my toes is black and blue. I dropped a metal pan on my foot and it hurt really bad. I do have English Muffins and a little of every thing else. I hope to see you there today.

I made a large amount of pasta last week and put some of it in the freezer. I took it out last night and wanted to to make a casserole with it. I made more tomato sauce and mixed it into the pasta. I grated mozzarella and parmesan cheese and sprinkled on top and baked it at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. It smells like pizza. Great recipe to keep on my back pocket.
