That’s a Wrap for the 2024 Superhero Comic Con!

I’d like to thank everyone…..our fans, our celebs, our volunteers, our exhausted staff, talent agents, the staff at the Freeman Expo Halls and Coliseum, the Bexar County Sheriffs, Mary & our food service team, and anyone else I’m forgetting (yes, I’m exhausted too!).

Professionally speaking, the show experienced some difficult challenges due to the 2023 writers strike and actors strike. TV and film production is still very backed up and all comic cons are still struggling with securing celebs for their shows. We did better than most, but still not up to our standards…….yet we are proud to have had EIGHT (8) unicorns appearing at our show this year. Fans loved meeting celebs like Orlando Bloom, Diego Luna, Iman Vellani and Walker Scobell to name a few. My dear friend Ernie Hudson was a huge hit with the Ghostbusters fandom!

The FREE autograph zone was a big hit with fans…..but angered some VIP’s that wanted line priority. From the time I announced this new show benefit, I also stated it was on a first-come, first served basis. VIP’s get special perks as stated in the product descriptions, but this was not one of them.

Now it’s on to Spacecon San Antonio this coming October 25-27th at the Freeman Expo Halls. It will be a stellar intergalactic pop culture experience with the great celebrity line-up we will be having.…..with the guests we have already secured like Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Rosario Dawson, and many other Star Wars, Star Trek, Guardians of the Galaxy and Stargate SG-1 guests. So get yours while they are still available.

Sad news everyone!

Unfortunately, Jake Gyllenhaal has COVID and is unable to attend our show this year,but we are working with to find a suitable date for him to meet the fans once he is well. Thank you for understanding.

All Jake Gyllenhaal refunds will begin in the next 7-10 days. There is nothing anyone has to do, it will be automatic. You will get an email from Superhero Comic Con informing you that we have processed your refund. Once you get that email, please be advised your credit card issuer, takes another 14 days or more to show the refund hitting your account.

FAN UPDATE

1. The show starts this Thursday June 20th and we are preparing a great show for fans attending. Here’s my key notes for today:

> All VIP pass holders and ADA disabled guests will have a special expedited lane to enter the show—if you have already purchased your admission passes. If not, you’ll have to use the regular admission process. It’s best to have your passes ADVANCED PURCHASED to expedite your entry into the show.

VIP pass-holders can have their children and one (1) spouse/guest join them in this lane even if they don’t have a VIP pass.

ADA guests can have their family join them.

REMINDER: VIP’s can enter the show 30-mins prior to the general public.

2. FAN APPRECIATION DAYS are on Thursday and Sunday. The first 2,500 adults 16 and over will receive two tickets to Six Flags Fiesta Texas when they enter the show.

3. DAILY SCHEDULES are all posted on our website and on our APP. If you don’t have the app yet, go to our website and download the app on our PLAN YOUR VISIT page.

4. We have over 25 fan panels scheduled over the four days. Seats are available on a first-come basis. There are designated VIP seats as well, but those are on a first-come basis as well.

5. VIP pass holders will pick-up all their pass perks at the designated booth at the show—next to the photo ops area.

6. DAY of SHOW Purchases: If you are interested in purchasing autographs or photo ops at the show……please visit the customer sales desk next to the photo ops entrance in EXPO Hall #1.

Most guests will NOT have table sales—especially the major headliners……and under most cases……no CASH will be accepted at a guest’s table. Besides…..if you make an autograph or photo op at the customer sales booth……your autograph or photo op will happen much faster.

7. LASTLY…..during the show there will be no one answering questions on our social media pages. We will all be at the show serving guests!

Andy’s schedule has changed slightly, here are the details;

> Andy can no longer appear on Sunday June 23rd. However, he has added Friday afternoon/evening for fan convenience.

If you were only coming on Sunday, we will grant you FREE admission on your choice of Friday or Sunday to see Andy. You can keep your Sunday admission products as well.

> To change your Sunday June 23rd Andy Serkis autographs or photo ops—-go to your confirmation page and ‘SWAP’ your Andy Serkis products to Friday or Saturday.

> The Andy Serkis panel has been re-scheduled to Friday night at 7:30pm. This panel will occur in the FREEMAN Coliseum.
