Happy Monday! Thank you to those who messaged me about buying one of my new necklaces. I just wanted to show you how one of these necklaces begins. It first takes an idea, a couple of times experimenting to get the right materials and balance, and then a whole lot of supplies and tools. It's not just 30 minutes - it's hours and large volumes of supplies. I use glass beads, make my own beaded chain to make sure it all matches, and everything is stainless steel and high quality materials. Plus, I'm a perfectionist, so you aren't going to receive anything that you wear a couple of times and falls apart. You absolutely get what you are paying for, sent to you from Germany. Eight hours of setting up my booth in the huge white tent on Wilhelm Leuschner Platz (right next to the SBahn and tram stop) and I'm ready to see everyone! Free bands, street food vendors, and no paid WGT band required. Open Friday through Sunday from 10am to 10pm, and Monday 10am to 5pm, with a HUGE selection of clothing and other amazing things 😊 Come by and say hi. We have a couple of extra lanyards for entry, so text me first 😁

Just an FYI to everyone visiting the WGT this year - neither Leipzig Dark Markt nor Bats Bugs Bones are selling at, nor do we have any association with the event happening at the Petersbogen Leipzig, as in past years. Yes, they are using our name, but it has nothing to do with us. We will be vending (along with quite a few other Leipzig Dark Markt sellers) at the Dark Affair I Schwarzer Szene-Markt Leipzig 😊

Yup, still suspended on Etsy and Etsy DE, despite countless emails, evidence, proof, and conversations with other foreign shops (not American) being treated differently and not given a fair appeal after suspension. But, yeah, they don't care. And speaking with a human being is at Etsy impossible...

Anyway, since I no longer have an income, I'll be vending for the entire WGT at the .affair.leipzig. I would rather not spend the entire time in a tent selling my items, but I have no other choice.

Hopefully all of my friends who are coming will drop by for a visit! Needless to say, my usual one-of-a-kind pieces will mostly be replaced by items i can make multiples of. So I am busting my a$$ making items for weeks, and will be until the festival starts. I really hope that I can make enough sales to start my own new website and pay for advertising to drive traffic.

Still no response from Etsy. I’m not looking forward to editing over 1000 social media posts that I have tagged them in, nor reprinting my business cards, signs, and mailing inserts. It’s going to cost me a lot of time and money. Thank you everyone for your support, and for telling me your similar stories. It seems like they are doing this to hundreds of people every week with no explanation. But with over 9 million sellers, they obviously don’t care about losing a few thousand a month. And since they have the monopoly, it doesn’t affect them.

This also causes a big problem with migrating to a new platform like Big Cartel or Shopify. Because I have no access to my Etsy store, I have to completely recreate and upload all of my items and photos again. If my Etsy shop was still online, those platforms can just import and translate my store without recreating everything. So for anyone who has an active Etsy site who wants to open a backup - do it before Etsy shuts down your store. It will save you a huge amount of time any money to migrate your store, and not recreate it, like it looks like I have to do. Some of my items have been online for years, so I don’t know where those photos are, and now I have to take new photos of over 100 items.

Yeah, I feel like an idiot. I always meant to create a backup, but life just keeps getting in the way!
