Hapeville Hosts Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers!
Runtime: 89 min
One Pint at a Time is directed and produced by Aaron Hose and co- produced by Brigitte Hose.
One Pint at a Time Craft beer generates tens of billions of dollars annually for the US economy. Despite beer’s Egyptian and African heritage, these traditions have been mostly forgotten and are rarely found in American brewing culture. Today, Black-owned breweries make up less than 1% of the nearly 9,000 breweries in operation. Eager to shift the historical perception of who makes and drinks beer, Black brewers, brand owners and influencers across the country are reshaping the craft beer industry and the future of America’s favorite adult beverage.
The films will be screened at Christ Church & Carriage House located at Jess Lucas Y-Teen Park, 680 South Central Ave, Hapeville, GA 30354. Fulton cities, county to hold second mediation session tomorrow!
The 15 cities of Fulton County will livestream tomorrow’s second mediation with county leaders as they seek an agreement on how to distribute Local Option Sales Tax revenues over the next decade. The tax, which is used to roll back property taxes for homeowners and businesses, is expected to generate more than $3 billion over the next 10 years.
Media are invited to attend. The cities will livestream their discussions at this link on www.savefultoncities.com: https://www.savefultoncities.com/meetings/
WHEN: Friday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m.
WHERE: Georgia Municipal Association, 201 Pryor St., Atlanta
The cities and county have until Dec. 30 to reach an agreement or the tax expires – an outcome that would devastate city budgets.
The Cities of Fulton County hosted a townhall Wednesday night in College Park for residents to hear from their city and county leaders about the ramifications of Fulton County seeking to dramatically increase its share of Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) dollars. Fulton residents in attendance unanimously spoke out against Fulton County’s negotiating position, citing concerns that the move would lead to deep cuts in services such as public safety and recreation and to steep spikes in property taxes for homeowners and businesses.

We urge your attendance to send a clear message to Fulton County regarding our Local Option Sales Tax negotiations. The final split of these funds is critical to the financial vitality of Hapeville Georgia and all of the cities in Fulton County.
