Oakdale Bowls Club hold their first pre season meeting next Friday 23 rd February 2024 18.00 , at the club house in pontllanfraith. All welcome new and old, if you have ever fancied playing the game, come along and have a chat, great bunch of fellow bowlers , who will make you feel well at home. A lot to discuss so please make every effort to attend.

Friday 1st December oakdale bowls club have their annual agm, if you have ever wanted to play , come along and meet the best bunch of guys you would want to wish for. With us going into the GBL league this season all new support is more than welcome, hope to see you all there at 18.00 in he bowls club, off llanarth road pontllanfraith.

After a very good season, with us just to embark on a tour to broadway, evesham and overbury with club champions simon wycherley and robin churchill on board, congratulations to you both. The club has taken massive strides this season and are already looking forward to next season.

There have been a lot of people involved in the Club effort this year and it has worked wonders, from fund raisers to social evenings, the club can only go in one direction, now let's get on that tour have a pint or two...!!!, relax , play 3 games , feet up, winter well , then let's go again.

Suns out and the dale are playing local rivals abercarn today 14.30 pm.
Why not come along for a pint or two, bar is open from 14.00 pm.

What a disappointing start to the season , first league game cancelled due to the rain, summer sports eh...!!!!!

Today the dale travel to caldicot for a curruthers shield game, good luck to the boys.

Well we've waited long enough, it's here the start of the season, and what a way to start with our good friends and neighbours Newbridge bowls club visiting ' the dale' today.

Bar will be open after the game , and we will have plenty to talk about no doubt, especially when eddy ' the virgin' is in town.

so the great escape was completed, it took massive efforts to beat panteg park 12-2 on tuesday night, then to beat league champions 12-2 on saturday.
so chuffed to be part of this great bunch of guys.

Great start to the league season with a 10 - 4 win over our great friends pontymister welfare, onwards and upwards well done ' the dale'

One hell of a performance from the dale , losing just by 11 shots to our near neighbours , blackwood......

So the competitive games start today and we welcome panteg park to the dale in the currothers shield , looking forward to it.

So yesterday we welcomed pontnewydd to the dale, games were played in a great spirit, with a lot of humour involved, great to see our very good bowling buddys, and fair to say they ruled the game....great to see them and look forward to our next friendly encounter.

Oakdale bowls club have a friendly Saturday , if anyone fancies a game we are 3 short, come along and have a go, you might even enjoy it...

Oakdale Bowls Club are looking for new members of all abilities to join us for the upcoming season, starting April 16th.
All are welcome and will be given a warm and friendly 'dale' welcoming on and off the green.
We hold a club night on a Monday night from 18.00 until 20.00 for all players to have club coaching, and a game to enjoy.

Great effort today from the dale.on our new patch, panteg park went away with the spoils, 9 points to 5.
