For the past 40 days, our church community has fasted for a cause, dedicating our efforts to support our outreach program. Today, on Easter Sunday, we joyously gather the fruits of our sacrifice to extend our love and support to those in need. Thank you for being a part of this journey of compassion and generosity🙏✨

Lunen UMC joyously celebrates Easter Sunday, rejoicing in the resurrection of our Savior and the hope it brings to all.
After the service, we enjoyed an egg hunting activity, creating cherished memories filled with laughter and joy.

In the quiet reverence of Good Friday, the Lunen UMC came together to observe Tenebrae service, where the flickering of candles dimmed to symbolize the darkness of Christ's crucifixion. With hearts heavy yet hopeful, we journeyed through the Seven Last Words spoken by Jesus on the cross, each word echoing with profound meaning and sacrificial love. As we paused to reflect on the weight of redemption and the depth of God's mercy, we were reminded of the immeasurable gift of salvation that was given to us on this day.
Through prayer, scripture, and contemplation, we embraced the solemnity of the moment, recognizing the significance of Christ's ultimate sacrifice for our sins.
May this Good Friday service serve as a beacon of hope and a reminder of the transformative power of grace.🙏

The Lunen UMC observed Maundy Thursday today with a service that included Footwashing and Holy Communion. Together, we reflected on the significance of these sacred rituals, drawing closer to one another and to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Palm Sunday 🌿
Today, as we gather , we remember and reflect upon the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. With hearts full of reverence and gratitude, we recall the scene of crowds joyfully waving palm branches, heralding the arrival of our Savior. Let us carry this spirit of celebration and humility into our own lives, welcoming Jesus into our hearts and homes with open arms. May this Palm Sunday mark the beginning of a blessed journey through Holy Week, as we prepare to commemorate the ultimate sacrifice and rejoice in the triumph of Easter.
