At our APD Day this Friday, we're going to celebrate some very special people in the HHMS community. It's important to teach our kids to offer kindness and love to people in our community who go above and beyond for us.
Two special guests will join us this Friday, who we will publicly thank:
Bobby Alexander - Plant Supervisor at HHMS - he came in on Christmas night and stayed until 5 am cleaning up the academic wing after an unfortunate water situation.
Phil Thomas - After over 35 years of dedication to the New Albany Floyd County school community, Mr. Thomas is retiring at the end of the year. His leadership of school musical activities has propelled our school system to become one of the best performing programs in the state. Join me this Friday as we show our kids how to show more kindness and spread more love throughout our community.

Dads -
Our next regularly scheduled APD Day at HHMS is set for next Friday, November 11th, starting at 7:40 am.
Because we will be honoring the service of our military men and women that day, what a great opportunity to talk with our kids about bravery. As middle schoolers, our kids face challenges that make them question who they are nearly on a daily basis. In these formidable years, it is important for us as male role models, to exemplify the attributes of bravery and boldness so they know to stand up for what they believe in... So, join me next Friday as we explore how to bring out your inner bravery, and be a leader for goodness in our community.
Click the registration link below to RSVP: https://allprodadchapters.com/chapters/10544
There are several Veterans Day programs in our schools on November 11th - I believe most elementary schools will start their programs at 9 am, so if you are a Veteran that plans to attend our breakfast, please know we will be sure to finish so you can go to another program.
Thank you!

Welcome to another great year of All Pro Dads at Highland Hills Middle School. My name is Rob Holtzmann, and I am the volunteer team captain for our chapter. I'm proud and honored to say this is our 5th year at HHMS, and even though two of those years were scattered because of covid, I believe we've made great strides in making stronger connections between dads and kids.
For those of you that are new to our chapter, and to HHMS, welcome! We are excited you are here, and we look forward to a great year together. Our first All Pro Dads Breakfast will be next Friday, August 12th. We will start at 7:40 am and end a little before 8:30 am. We will have breakfast available for $2 per person which includes doughnuts/pastries and a drink (fee collected at the door).
I need your help with two things:
1. Please RSVP for our August 12th APD Day by clicking on this link: https://allprodadchapters.com/chapters/10544
2. If you know a HHMS Dad, forward this email to them and cc me ([email protected]) so we can ensure we're getting the word out about our breakfast.
I want to keep this email short, but expect to hear a lot more from me and the APD team as we lead up to our first breakfast. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me via the contact information below.
Thank you!
