Our resource speaker, Mr. Perfecto “Jojo” Rom, is the founder of Urban Container Gardening (UCG) in the Philippines and the author of UCG: A Home Farming Manual. He is also known for his advocacy on Democratized Agriculture.

UCG technologies empower households to use natural farming to participate in food production and ecological sanitation using (biodegradable and recyclable) waste materials that can be usually found in home-based setting. This lecture and workshop aims to equip you with the knowledge and skills to initiate Democratized Agriculture and inspire you to take the challenge to start what you have on your own household.
