July 2018 I contemplated su***de for the 7th and last time.
I stood at the top of that building ready to end it all. My limiting beliefs said I was a failure, I had no purpose, my daughters and my sisters didn’t need me and I was a waist of space in the earth. Those thoughts were difficult and painful to navigate…but Therapy

Making the choice to start therapy and heal from my past and present traumas is the reason I’m here today. Healing helped me realize my calling and purpose.

My Purpose is Dope Inc is a nonprofit organization (501C3 approved) who’s mission is to eliminate su***de attempts in black and brown communities & empower individuals to choose life as the only option.

Our vision is to see a world where su***de is NOT an option.

Through public awareness, education, and community engagement we help individuals navigate emotional challenges, build mental toughness and life skills.

Su***de is not an option because there are other options ✊🏾

So a lot of you know part of my story. I attempted su***de (jumping off a building) 7 times between 2011 and 2018. Childhood trauma, religious trauma syndrome, no self love, no identity of my own, fear, no purpose, lack of logic and critical thinking all lead me to wanting to end my life. But it just wasn’t my time!!!

Therapy Saved my Life!!!

Today, on Su***de Awareness Day I am finally jumping!! But I’m not jumping to end my life, I’m jumping to live, jumping into my purpose!!

I’m here on Purpose and My Purpose is Dope!! 💪🏾
