The Warehouse Arts District Association (WADA) has an exhibit of work from our clients, named From Within, on display through August 3, 2024 at their Tully-Levine Gallery. There is no cost to attend and by visiting, you will be supporting the arts and our clients.

Boley Centers deeply mourns the tragic passing of Zak White, the Executive Vice President at the Homeless Empowerment Program. We appreciate his profound influence on the mental health and homeless communities and will forever be grateful for his committed and compassionate service to those in great need.

The entire HEP community is devastated by the untimely and unexpected death of our beloved Executive Vice President, Zachary White.

Zak spent the last 15+ years of his career with us, and played an important role in HEP’s growth, physically and programmatically, during that time. Throughout his tenure at HEP, Zak’s approachability and candor allowed him to form friendships among staff, volunteers and clients alike.

He will be deeply missed by everyone at HEP - not only on a professional level, but on a personal one. He left his mark at HEP in numerous ways, and was known for his compassionate heart and generous spirit which will continue to live on through all who knew him.

Our heartfelt prayers are with his family, friends and loved ones - especially his children - during this difficult time of grieving and loss.

HEP will be holding a Celebration of Life for Zak on our campus - details to come.

Boley Centers was excited to team up with our friends at Operation PAR, Inc. and PEMHS to celebrate our first Love & Freedom event last Friday! Special thanks to all who came together to plan, set up, and celebrate all that is good and beautiful about the staff at all three of these critical providers in the community!

Thank you Country Place Veterans & Friends Club for your unending support of our Veterans in Pasco County! These bikes will make getting to work a whole lot easier and Boley Centers is grateful for your efforts to help us to Build Better Lives TODAY!

Two more bikes delivered to the Boley Center to give the homeless veterans a means of transportation to get to their jobs.

Mental Health Matters

On behalf of Florida's community mental health and substance use providers, FBHA thanks Governor Ron DeSantis for recognizing May as . Florida's behavioral health community is fortunate to have the Governor & First Lady Casey DeSantis leading the charge to heal children, families, and communities.

The recent Whitney M. Young Leadership Awards, organized by the Pinellas County Urban League, was a heartwarming and ultra chic celebration of the positive within our community!

Led by President & CEO Nikki Gaskin-Capehart, this Carribbean Chic event highlighted the 2024 Haynes Heroes Scholars and the Unsung Advocates Awards. Boley Centers is honored to be a close ally (and neighbor 🙂) of the Pinellas County Urban League and appreciative of their dedicated efforts to address the community's needs in education & leadership, job training, housing stability, and health impact & quality of life initiatives.

Boley Centers on Broadway would not be possible without Destination Theatre's talented and passionate team! We are ever grateful for their vision, compassion, and energy and in the end, we all win! The individuals who are in service with Boley Centers who have worked on this project with the Destination Theatre team face obstacles and challenges that are not always visible to the naked eye which can sometimes make navigation even harder. This project allows them to show up, be seen, and work through things in a different way than traditional therapy. Hearty thanks to members of the Missions Team from First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg for coming out this past Saturday to help beautify our art room! We are so grateful for the donation of your time, talent, and treasure and the men and women who attend our Life Enhancement Activities Program (LEAP) along with our staff will now have a cleaner and brighter place to get their creativity flowing! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Yesterday was a banner day for Boley Centers!

We started by hosting Florida Behavioral Health Association's press conference which focused on the paramount importance of safe and affordable housing for individuals and families who have mental illness. We heard from Florida Behavioral Health Association President & CEO Melanie Brown-Woofter, Florida Department of Children and Families Secretary Shevaun Harris, Florida Agency for Health Care Administration Secretary Jason Weida, Community Assisted & Supported Living, Inc. COO PJ Brooks, and last, but certainly not least, Boley Centers President & CEO Kevin Marrone. Mental health matters and housing equals health care.

We had a wonderful time at Boley Centers' Your Neighborhood Thrift Store with the Boley Angels at their annual Sip, Shop, & Save event last night! Thank you to our dear Angels for their continued support of all things Boley. We are all grateful for the work that you do to create more awareness of our agency and thrift store along with the funds that you raise to help the individuals and families we serve.

Boley Centers has a phenomenal team of hardworking and caring staff members - from our direct service staff to our leadership, and everything in between! During April, all of our Permanent Supported Homeless Housing staff (you know who you are 😉🙃) met or exceeded their goals which was celebrated by the agency.

At this time of year, we are especially grateful for all of the support shown to the people we serve, our staff, and Boley Centers!
